Is this possible to do? I can't seem to make it work.

hey fellow authors. Here's my problem. I am working on my 2nd adventure now. It starts by talking to nobleman burkhard who knows a thing or two about the local entertainment venues in Neverwinter. Without giving too much away, I want him to give the hero three options. A seedy tavern where they can possibly get into some trouble with a rowdy atmosphere and gambling etc, a brothel, and a show venue. My problem is this. When I am in the foundry story tab I am not able to place three maps parallel to each other where the hero can make one choice then advance the quest as such. I tried using reach points but that just adds three objectives to the map of go find A,B,C. Same for the interact with object thing. Is there any way to make it so the hero has three choices, picks one of them, then advances the quest from that choice?

At the moment there is no way to make branching quests or options like that. You either have to make all three a part of the story, or have the player go down one path and make the other two side quests by adding conversations, items and other stuff that wont have a quest glowey or be a part of the actual quest.

A story driven quest, with a fun and challenging amount of combat, that takes you into the world of Planescape, carefully hand crafted by me.

The Foundry lacks "or" logic, so you can't do what you ask.

It's possible to get around this issue, at least to a certain degree, by putting all these different locations on the same map and sending the player to the one he needs to be in after he enters the map. However, this is so tricky to do and contains so many potential pitfalls, not to mention you can't combine it with the story tab, so I'd recommend against doing so until you're very experienced with the Foundry.

Unfortunately, the three places were going to have different theming. If they picked the seedy tavern it was going to be dark and gloomy with different banter going on between the NPC's then say the brothel. I guess I'll just have to wait to see if they add this feature because I don't know how you would get the correct tavern to spawn when the player made his choice on the map.

    That about sums it up.
It's unfortunate that you can't make things as dynamic as you could with NWN. Branching side quests is the biggest drawback right now. Perhaps things will change with future patching.
Another thing I miss is the "rescue" mission where the NPC would actually assist in fighting their way out. (now they are just cowering idiots)

I don't want to create new topic so i'll ask here - Is this possible to make bosses (with scripting encounters, etc.), and make it as a "dungeon"?

Not for now unfortunately, we all hope it will be available in the future though
