It's true. My quick left mouse click is > all.
I play a Dwarven great weapon fighter. (..and by great weapon, they actually mean only greatsword. There are no other options, but that's another topic.)
Why do I have options to use other "skills" when all I need to do is spam left-mouse-click. On e v e r y-thing.
Logic: Sure, I can hold down either the right or left mouse button for a couple of seconds while I "power-up" another skill, and release the damage upon my foes... by why? Doing so for example:
Hold mouse button for 2 seconds = 1 hit for 100 damage.
Regular mouse click 4 times in 2 seconds = 4 hits x 50 damage per hit = 200.
(simple version for those who avoid math - basic mouse click is far better than any skill available).
So why would I ever want to do anything but mash my regular attack through mobs? Aside from occasional letting my finger rest from all the stress and strain of mowing through countless mobs while my other hand digs in a bag of Cheetos and hits the tv remote once in awhile.
