A minor point, but I thinks its great that this is one of the few mmorpgs that actually have women wearing armor, and clothing. None of that double standard "made by horny nerd guys for horny nerd guys" cliche design.

I love the fact that you can actually get shirts/pants with minor stat boosts, definitely a decent attempt at realism. If you want skimpy, you're going to pay the price of exposure

I'm feeling offended. I just think that a plain chainmail shirt is... too plain. This has absolutely nothing to do with "horny nerds". But yes, everything has its limits and SB crossed that by far and some of TERA did too. It's still a fantasy themed game. And stuff like that has become more common and normal. So please, don't be that person and start this all again.

Yes, indeed this is a good attempt and maybe the best there is out there. Though realism doesn't mean much in my book in a game with elves and everything.

What are you talking about? My Female Elven Wizard looks like a ****ing HAMSTER hooker that can throw snowballs and doesn't know how to change clothes. Everytime I find something to add to her wardrobe it's still the same cheap hooker outfit 30 odd levels later. I know when I go to my closet and put on some clothes they usually look nothing like what I was wearing the day before.
I know I went off point, but my Hooker Elven Wizard still dresses like a skimpy *****.

You shouldn't be offended. Your point has nothing to do with my post. Whether or not the actual models are plain (and I agree the shirts aren't great, and could use some detail and variety) is another issue entirely.

Yeah but even Firefall's lame engineer with the missing pant leg, and hot pants on their assault females, is ridiculous.

No, I meant that I felt offended by you labelling me (?) as "horny nerd" for just liking design what is considered "skimpy". Of course, don't get me wrong. I don't want my character to run around in a string made of chainmail, but something in between the 2 extremes.

To be honest I could care less if armors are skimpy to the point it's just like really?(Scarlet Blade) Or they can be super covered up where you can't even tell if your character is female or male. The only thing I care about is if the armor looks good. But this game desperately needs more outfits to choose from. It took 40 levels for my Wizard to actually get a newish outfit but it's still very similar to my lvl 1 outfit.

Agree, nice to see they stick to the ""lore dress code".
Neverwinter Online Open Beta is an ongoing success

Heh. The D&D "lore" I'm familiar with is the artwork from the 80s/90s - Elmore, Caldwell, Parkinson, etc. You know, the "skimpy" stuff that's made "by horny nerds for horny nerds". Luckily, you can take the shirts off, to get closer to "lore".
(What I really want right now is new pants. The default pants are plain, and just taking them off is a bit more than I'm looking for.)
edit: I was a bit surprised by how restrained they were with the body shape sliders - even female Star Trek Online characters can be more curvy.
...and that "jester" gear is not all that attractive. Hrm. Hope they come out with more costumes... STO spoiled me a bit.

Healer for life. Except not that ugly.
All games do really, but yeah, this game keeps you in the same clothes until cap, when things start to get interesting.
Nope, Jester's Garb set from the trade bar vendor. I broke down and bought it. I recolored it, because it's naturally the nightmare color set i think.
Pretty much...you can tell it was more than likely designed by the perfect world people and not the cryptic guys.

Hmm... what?!
Buying the Jester's Garb and complaining about looking like a fool?
And also... that female tiefling really looks double horny.
Hahahahahaha.
