Possible workaround for lack of sound (at least for me)

I'd tried everything I read in the forums. Drivers up to date, uninstall, reinstall everything.

The only thing that I found that worked was rolling back my sound driver one notch. I now have sound again.

    You're quite welcome.

    It was strange, though. When I didn't have sound, I had no lag or anything and could run around to my heart's content. But once I had sound again, I experienced the same lag that everyone else did. Strange.:rolleyes:

    i thought i was the only one with the sound problem. so the problem should be from the game right??
