At level 21 I have over 60 healing pots, unused, the trick is to use healing word, seal, nail em down with chains and spear away. It also helps if you use the man at arms instead of the wolf, he can tank very well, you just use healing word, astral seal and kill stuff.

I also find that chaining things down, going to blue mode with tab and then sliding into the middle of the chained mobs and hitting the PBAE knock back tends to kill all the normal mobs.

Another interesting trick I have found is that you can slide through a bigger monster and hit it from behind, they take a while to turn around.

    Just some tips.

I'm almost onto the t2 epic dungeons, as a pure healer. People still have to use pots now and again, but I easily lead the healing board by ~90% or more, every time. I'm baffled how some people would think that pure healing in this game would be boring lol

This is probably the most fun I've had playing a healer, <3 me some green numbers.

    Lv50+ cleric

Its going to be ups and down as a cleric but its worth it. Best way is to figure out your build and use it correctly. There are a lot of things that effect other things so READING is very important when picking feats and so forth. Look through the forums there are many pages and guides.

About playing it gets far better when you start getting your Aoe heals and so forth. Also divine power gives alot more boost to healing as well as many of your other skills. Just so you know you well be using pots. This isn't one of those burst heal clerics like in other games we use ticks(HoTs) and so forth. Having a good Tank pet is a must I see but you don't have too.(Saves you some pots). From the pick up your getting pots shouldn't be a problem.

Hope you well keep trying its a great class once you get it figure out and far the most fun to play. You arn't ever sitting there healing like a bot like the old days. Your dancing around saving peoples live on the min to bring them back to life and dropping Aoes and attacks that gives healing at the same time.

That's your problem. I don't mean that in a rude way, it's just the way the cleric is. At 21 you don't have any of the good heals, except Astral Seal but that's not going to keep people from using potions.

Once you get Forgemaster's Flame healing gets better for a while. Then you get Bastion of Health and healing gets even better. You should also have Repurpose Soul by now. Grab Foresight asap because the damage mitigation it provides is huge.

It isn't until you get Astral Shield at 50 that dedicated healing without much potion use actually becomes a truly viable prospect. Though people just need to accept sometimes you have to use potions.

I'm the same way with it. I switched back to dps but when i was healing it was very fun, I still do from time to time but I've noticed there seems to be a problem with the dpsers just standing in the red zone like idiots waiting on a heal rather then dodging, you absolutely must learn to dodge people, it's not optional in a dungeon!

At level 21 I was never using pots on myself other than group content and I get healing aggro. However my group mates quite often have to use pots. It is different, but personally I do not think it is bad. It does require a change in thinking though. Especially among tanks waiting for a massive heal or dps that are not smart enough to get out of the red circle and then complaining I do not heal them right away.

I think the design choice here is to encourage people to actually dodge incoming attacks rather than soaking everything, expecting the healer to bandaid the situation. Now as to whether they don't heal enough? That's debatable. I haven't had too many problems outside of grabbing all the aggro as a cleric.
