Yes, I am sure this has been brought up many of times. But there is something I won't understand. When I am attempting to tank aoe trash this normally happens. Some pulls it goes great and I take little damage, while other times (Most of the time I should say) they tend to ignore me and aim for everyone else. Same happens to boss fights. And yes I am marking and using my aoe taunt pretty much every chance I get. And yet when I use my aoe taunt sometimes the mobs just flat out ignore me when I am in their faces. So clearly I must be doing something wrong and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.
But in short I feel as tanking is like this. GF "HEY, HEY, HEY, LOOK AT ME ALREADY!" Mobs "Man this guy keeps screaming his/her head off. We shall ignore him/her and go after that Cleric. Bet they taste like candy!"
And that is how I tend to feel about GF. Pretty much useless but that random time the mobs get sick of you yelling at them.

Healing aggro is a little messed up at the moment, or so it seems. One AOE heal and they grab aggro from everything on the map. My assumption is because pets are included into the equation, or maybe that they gain threat for overheals as well.
This is the same thing I think when I read GF aggro.

Dude im a 23 GF atm and i have no problem holding aggro. The last dgn i ran which was the crypt i took 180k dmg while everyone else took 50k dmg or less. Its all about the positioning. I dont think the game was meant for you to hold all of the mobs. A lot of those trash mobs the DPS classes can make light work off. Its the heavy guys that hurt every one and you blocking that dmg for them makes a huge difference. I go for a high guard/crit build and just utilize your splash dmg. That jab you do when you have your shield up hits all the mobs. So just position yourself in teh right spot and spam. EVERY SINGLE ATTACK you do does splash dmg and if you put up all of your threat powers/feats it helps a lot. I'm only in the 20's but i keep a written record of all the stats from dgns/skirms and i am doing a good job at keeping a majority of the dmg on me. Even if you are behind or next to someone that you can block the dmg. When you block it they take less. I feel like a lot of GF's just need to understand how this tank works.

Well sooner or later they will fix it. Not asking for a perm threat. Just a bit of a boast to gain threat is all. Not asking for too much I hope. Still a great game if you can look passed all the little problems like threat

I still dont think its a problem. lol i will see as i get higher level but i always take the most dmg by 50% or more compared to everyone when i do dgns/skirms.

- massaggro is nearly impossible
- singletargetaggro: one mistake and its gone
- the tabspell mark needs to be instant and not as long as the animations needs (i dont like the mark mechanic at all... feels sooo clunky)
- animations overall have to be interuptible by moving. there are voidzones we also have to move out. the problem is, if you are half way in your shieldhit, you cant move immeditaley and not only does our shield break, we also lose aggro.
- the hole tank mechanic is poorly conceived. do us a favor and remove the hole markmechanic. its a pain in the ***...
oh, and soon i will not be able to play the game anymore, cause iam running out of gold. why? because potions are like a spell used on cooldown.
the game is awesome, but the mechanics.... meeeh
pls fix it soon, cause you literally cant play this game without potions
i agree that threat is messed up somewhere. could be loads of stuff. what i want to mention is the mark mechanic. i know coco touched on it and dislikes it. i personally think the idea is fine (but the animations for it and attacks HUGE PROBLEM!). mark is nice as a constant ranged treat builder. only problem is that it decreases in value the higher lvl you get cuz everyone else's damage/heals (aka threat) is jumping through the roof while you are still pretty much the same. let's fix the threat levels and the bugged power/feats for GF (alot are not working at all, confirmed by pwe), then we can worry about whether mark needs to be replaced/changed
MAKE MARK HIT ENEMY AND ALL ENEMIES AROUND IT.
MAKE THREATENING RUSH A 2-3 SECOND TAUNT THAT STILL MARKS THE SAME WAY.
REMOVE HEALING AGGRO.

Threat unfortunately is not automatic for "Tanking" Classes. We have to worry about our dps just as much (if not more) than other classes. At least untill they change how our threat mechanics work. Untill than, I present 2 Amazing Guardians.

Its probably a little bit of everything: pets being included in the heal, overhealing causing agro, and who knows maybe their agro forumal is messed up.
