I read through the FAQs here and I thank everyone for their hard work. One of the FAQs spoke of having a body ON TOP of an altar ... and the answer was to place the body's Y coordinate aboe the height of the altar and hope that when everything loads, it works.

I'm trying to get my archers to stand on top of some buildings that I've placed. I have their Y coordinate set to be higher than the item they would be standing on .. but everytime I play it, they're standing on the ground.

Frustrating.

... any thoughts?

Did you try even higher? Maybe that will fix it.

You can set the Y-Axis of the Mob to 0.5 ft. above the plane upon which you want to place the Mob.

I have successfully used an "Invisible Wall - 20X20" rotated a to a horizontal plane for wider areas and elevated to the Y-Axis of the surface I want to place the Mob upon. This is useful for example, if you want spiders to drop from high above, by using a trigger to activate "Disappear When Component Reached" on the invisible wall.

There is a handy Detail item called "Ruler Vertical - 80ft." for setting heights, or measuring heights (as of a building top) in 3D mode.

You might try putting sniper spots up there so the ranged mobs won't move around.

There are 3 settings for height: zero, terrain, and geometry. Set to geometry to make it go on things above the ground.
