Is it just me or are they broken? I've been queued for PvP ALL day yesterday and most of the day today so far and not a single time has it popped. Currently lvl 58 and I think last time I got pvp to pop I was in the 20's.

Wut's going on hur?
What id going on is you simply levelled faster than the vast majority of the playerbase. I am sure there are a "lot" of other players in the upper 50's but not enough to support a quick and efficient queue system across 3 servers. Give it a week or two at least.
They use level banding in this game, the same sort of thing they used in star trek online.
So if you don't have enough people within you level range in the que it wont start.
That's a huge issue with their que system....
The other problem is they don't display how many are in the que waiting...and they have the same problem with their stuff in champions.
So basically they took the two problematic issues and put them together into this game....
I am actually dumbfounded by the fact they did this....actually there are a number of things they did I still don't understand....I think they really are trying to get players angry with them.

I didn't level super hardcore I was playing pretty casually. There are quite a few ppl in my level range atm. Doesn't make any sense that it wouldn't pop a single time in 2 full days.
Yeap you need to have others within the 50 to 59 range queuing up with you, so if there is not enough people who are doing it, then unfortunately the PvP arena will not start for you. I would recommend just to keep trying, but by that time you will be 60 and you will be grouping with other 60s to do PvP, which will take a while for that to be popping on a regular bases.

Actually it does make sense and is the likely explanation. Of course there are "quite a few" people in your level range, but quite clearly not enough. Not to mention it was not like you were queued in a single queue that whole time. Whether you consider it casual or not you were increasing in levels quite quickly over the course of a couple days and each time you entered a new level range you would esentially be re-queued. We could argue all day about how many people were in your level range or about how casually you were playing, but clearly there are not enough people in your level range for a sufficient queing system. Not surprising when you are max level 2 days in. Like I said earlier though give it a week or 2 and there will be pleanty of "casual" players just like you also at the level cap.

I started playing on the 25th. Today is the 29th. I count 5 days of playtime Thursday through Monday. The hardcore crowd was level 60 on Saturday (Some even Friday night)
So yeah I'd say it was pretty casual

Hey I love playing lots as much as the next person. Having said that I'm reasonably sure casual is more in line with 1-2 hours a day and a few extra on weekends :P

LOL 5 days to the highest level in the game in not casual by any definition of casual.
If there had never been a COH there would never have been a CO.
