I leveled a GWF with a buddy of mine and we didn't have any trouble until we dealt with the mastermindflayers at the end of Whispering Caverns. So leveling wasn't an issue. I did it as destroyer. I would feel paper thin (which is to be expected) so upon hitting 60 I went Sentinel spec.
In dungeons I have taken up the roll of add handling. Keeping the adds off healers and those pesky control wizards but my DPS is amazingly low. Like a cleric who is dpsing can keep up with me (Until we hit an AE pack and my unstoppable is up, but then they catch up again)
If I want to do all this DPS I am reading people 'claiming' to have (such as out DPSing a TR or CW)..should I go back in to the Sentinel tree? I mean, I enjoy dps. Thats fine, but I also want to be able to be supportive. Handle adds and keep them off people. So..here are two questions!
1. I want to be supportive but still deal some damage. Should I stay Sentinel? Does Sentinel allow for decent damage? The control wizard I normally run with is just insane on DPS and puts TR's to shame.
2. If I stay sentinel, what abilities should I use to maximize my damage output? I currently am using:
Surestrike on single target
Weapon Master's Strike on AE
Unstoppable on cooldown
Slam on cooldown (for AE pack)
Crescendo on single
Daring shout to debuff damage on targets as well as mark for determination
Takedown
Flourish
Thanks for any and all help! *waddles off to work*

If you want to DPS you chose the wrong class. If you want to control adds, you chose the wrong class. However, if you merely want to look b@d @ss in heavy armor with a huge weapon, you chose wisely.

from what i've been reading, sounds like your best best is to reroll a CW until GWF gets fixed..
If I were you, I would roll a CW.
teach me sensei!!!
I'll wait for the guide and see what I am doing wrong or if the class is just...'that' class.
