What's your experience with solo questing? I started to notice a slow down in the 30s, especially with the healer companion no longer leveling up. If you are doing well, what does your spell bar look like?

My cw is still going strong just hit 37 a lil bit ago. I use repel on my tab as an additional aoe, Call Storm that does a front assault hits really hard aoe and will oneshot most trash mobs, Force choke for the cc, and shield for the last. My guy is specing toward aoe dmg bonus and i have yet to run into anything that gave me a hard time.

Call Storm
Do you mean Sudden Storm?
shield
I saw a video of a 50 Control Wizard using Shield from Beta Weekend 4, and it absorbed a good bit of damage, but only one hit and then it had to wait out the required 5 seconds before it would do anything (at all) again. Is it still that way?
At 37 now, and somehow my CW feels squishy. Or maybe my damage is low, since I can't get stronger mobs down fast enough, so I get hit (yes, I blink and cc ). It is still fine with the cleric companion, but without her it is noticeably more tricky. Been experimenting a bit with Icy Terrain, which actually works nicely, but still means I eat damage. It is partly a gear issue too, there's plenty of 30-32 stuff still, and mostly just greens.
I do wish we could upgrade the cleric or buy a proper healer (not the acolyte) from the Zen store.

In BW4, I got up to 41. I was fairly damage focused, using
tab-Chilling Strike, Entangling Force, Ray of Enfeeblement, Sudden Storm for encounters, Arcane Singularity for daily, and Magic Missile for at-will.
I missed Steal Time a lot from BW3, so I was going to add it at 45. Still, tab-Chilling Strike was enough to wipe out some minion packs in one shot, and you can stun two tougher enemies at a time, then smash things once they get in close. Singularity -> Sudden Storm -> Chill Strike is also a ton of AE burst for a tough pack.
I didn't like the knockback powers in general, because I could do so much more damage by controlling how enemies were grouped up.
