Which "Shard" (Server)?

Now that we know there are going to be 3 "Shards" until some time after launch when they are all merged. Which one do you RPers intend to use?

I figure if we can all agree on one of them, we'll have more RP opportunities with us all in the same place, than if we were spread between all 3.

    I voted Dragon since it was the Beta server, but Mindflayer makes a good secondary choice :)

    We've called a vote on the Neverwinter Roleplayers site as well, and so far almost everyone (24 of 28 voters) has gone with Mindflayer. Therefore that's what I've voted.

    Oh <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font>, I had no idea. I really should get myself registered on that site tomorrow. Is there any chance you could ask the guy who've voted in that poll to also pop along to this one? I figure some people who aren't on the Neverwinter Roleplayers site might see this one and not that.

    Since the majority of RPers from Neverwinter-RP are voting for Mindflayer, I will be voting for Mindflayer to join up with my fellow RPer!

    is the shard going to be able to hold all of us? I mean Tyrs, HCG, all the Roleplayers, IcewindDale(possibly) and NeverwinterNights plus whoever else decides to use mindflayer. How many can a Server Shard hold?

    That's still not as many people as you seem to think ;) And too few people have voted so far, so the results are far from being reliable (and they never are anyway as forum-goers are only a fraction of the whole player base)

    As for me, I and Blood are going to make Dragon our home.

    Most people will select whichever server is at the top or shows "waiting time = no waiting" when they log.

    I kind of doubt that message will still be displayed 5 minutes into the open beta on the 30th. ;)

    Yes, they are still planning to do that. The 3 separate shards are just there to bear with the influx of players during the first days of open beta, so that their infrastructure does not collapse.

    I'll probably wait until I find a guild and go to whatever shard they're on, but for now, I went with Mindflayer. Because.. illithids. Mmm, delicious illithids.

    I am going to the Dragon server, but the merging of them makes it just a temporary choice.. We all get to see each other eventually. :)

    My guild is on dragon mainly chosen as it matches with the background and history of our guild..

    Being the blood legion order of dragons i thought it appropriate. We are from the omen isles, our order was founded the last time the red wizards of thay and a female leader (not sure if it was still the same valindra) tried to summon up a dracolich army and upon its destruction we founded our order amid the burnt bone and skys full of ash.. It was then amid that devestation that we pledged to found an order that would once again befriend the dragons of the land and we learnt a craft of mind and body and way of life... called the way of the dragon to help us in this endeavour.. The monks at our monastary and castle in the omen isles teach this to the worthy but our secrets are closely guarded against all others.. Lately we heard the clarion call of neverember and of neverwinters common folk and have come to once again help save the land from machincations of the dracolich cult.. The dragon cult and the order of dragons shall have a reckoning once more... oh yes they shall!!!

    So we roleplay also but we will be on dragon to start :)

    Haven's Point will be on MindFlayer with the majority of the RPers. As that is our focus

    My guild has chosen to go to Dragon, so I'm going where they go.... though I'm kinda bummed cause all the cool kids are gonna be on Mindflayer :(
