So any thoughts on the damage reduction that trickster rogue received? During tonight's stream the question was asked if rogues' received any "nerfs"? While they addressed this question, it was a little vague. But acknowledged they were brought in line with other classes. Hopefully it's not a huge change. You can watch the video of the stream here.

I like how he said he "wouldn't call it a nerf," and then went on to imply that they've reduced rogue damage. I mean, I get you're trying to be diplomatic, but come on. Just say that while they're supposed to be doing a lot of damage, they were doing too much more than the other classes, and were brought back in line a bit.
Don't go out and buy decorations for your pity party quite yet - we still have a ton of damage, just not solo-a-dungeon levels of damage.
I will agree on one thing, though - damage or not, I play a rogue because they feel so much better than the other classes.
That said I welcome the nerf, it will ceese the whining and make the game a challenge so it's win/win
Also as a side note, that gentleman had some very handsome facial hair.
On Alpha side I've been playing a Rogue - and even after the changes I couldn't see or feel it. Still pretty kikaz. Granted, the powergamerz will probably go all-out looking for it, pull-up the statistical detail stats and compare numbers and then shout shrill epithets over the matter.
All I can say is that the rogue still felt pretty darned powerful.
The ability in question is Deulist's Flurry, and I have no idea why people have so much hate for it. It's miles ahead of cloud of steel. It's certainly not meant to be the only button you smash. I use it in situations when an enemy with a lot of hit points is distracted from directly wailing on me (either because I'm in stealth, or have shadow decoy out, or another party member ect.) and there's not immediate risk of being in a red splat zone. If you execute the power strategically to unleash the full animation it does a devastating amount of damage.
Sly Flourish on the other hand, instead of being the ONLY melee attack you use, is more for attacking monsters with only a few remaining hit points, or when you're doing a lot of hit and run and dodging enemy swing animations or red splat zones.
Also to be noted, you can still turn your character while locked in animation if your current target dies or moves beyond your range to finish the attack on another nearby target.
There were instances where my target would charge or teleport away from me and I would follow it and not loose any attacks from the Flurry. I'm not sure if that is an intended function or a bug. Or mabe a hallucination derived from a combination of sleep deprivation, excessive Monster Energy consumption, and having played a trickster rogue for 35-40 hours over BW3. Did anyone else catch this happening?
Mostly by cloth classes like mages or healers.
I cant understand why those squishy classes believe they should be able to go toe-to-toe in a melee fight against a rogue, ontop of that they want to be able to do as much damage, while having tons of cc, heals and range.
Bring down damage in PvE a notch? fine
Bring down damage in PvP? big misstake
My only regret is that the tears still flow , and will until such time as TR's are the lowest dps of all classes then those that play the other dps classes will be happy, lets not worry about the pro's those classes have that we as TR's don't.....
There are no other DPS classes
I got flung off a cliff that way once.
I am proud to say I was stabbing the HAMSTER outa that pirate till I hit the rocks at the bottom, lol. I might be dead, but he was DEADER!!.
CW so OP, nerf the jedi push or give the rogue push encounter the same push distance!! lol
That is not exactly true. In the official stream, they clearly stated the GWF was a dps class and that the damage should be the same. currently it is not, but I imagine they will sort it out either via a GWF buff or TR nerf.
This notion that the TR is the only dps class is silly.
Community Mod quote "The Rogue is a glass cannon and designed to be. The GWF is supposed to be a mix between a striker and a defender so he will always get out dps'd." So GWF is a hybrid. Therefore, Rogue is the only pure striker.

Lulz, I'd take the word of Sominator in the stream over a community mod, are you being serious?
Yeah, we are. They are the striker class. It's been said for months that's the way it's intended. The only reason you are being so vile about it is you play a GWF. Get over it. They are the ONLY striker class...
I'm leveling a GF first then a TR.
Just kind of surprised you are listening to a community moderator over someone that actually works for PW. Whatever though, I'll be surprised if one of the two classes does not get changed. Hopefully it is a GWF buff so we can have a more diverse class spread. Seeing 50% rogues running around was bleh.

"If you're going to ride my HAMSTER... At least pull my hair"
Taking the trash out, one badguy at a time.
"Satisfaction guaranteed or twice your trash back."
The point is to have fun. There is no point to complain now. If you cannot beat them, join them right? hehe
only way that will ever happen, is the people crying NERF.... or this class is OP nerf them, is if they become the very ones they been crying NERF on... period....
I just started playing on Thursday night and got my little TR to 27 so far and it is absolutely FACEROLL in PvE. I'm doing content 5 levels above him just to stay challenged. I'm still wearing gear several levels too low because I'm not killing mobs at the same level anymore. I can't use any of the gear I get because I'm not high enough level, lol.
Are the other classes really that underpowered? I took a wizard to lvl 6 last night and it's just... ugh. Feels like running around in a swimming pool full of peanut butter by comparison the rogue, but that's a feel issue; can't really opine about the power of the class.
Seems pretty balanced PvP.
