I am no artist, but looking at others I decided to draw a sketch of my character too. But I ended up taking hi-res picture which showed the texture of page more than the sketch even when resized.
You can try to change the contrast and brightness of the picture in order to loose the paper tecture. But you would need strong lines so they do not dissapear too.
The drawing shows you have the eye for detail. You only need to practice if you want to be an artist. Now, this is a secret... there is no artist class, it is a feat anyone can get with... practice!! :P
Cheers, thanks for sharing!

One advice i dare to give is try variations changing the way you detail some stuff. For example, the eyelash are not usually drawn one by one, because it is extremely difficult to do so. I think you got quite well the eyebrowns. Hair is problematic always, i still do not have that part under control so i can't talk :P Sometimes drawing is not so much about skill but technique, once you find the technique you got everything way easier. That's my experience even now.
I am not saying this because i think i know so much, just sharing the little i can tell.

Here is another:-
Her cheek is weird because it is not drawn. I am just not able to decide where to put it.
Also her lip is a bit on left, so I will have to redraw her later ...
And yeah, she has got the eye of the beholder!
Multiple Personas, only 'One' me
"Why should one devolve themselves to try and entertain those of a lesser mindset around them?"
