Is it me or is the frozen state really short?

I came in midway on beta weekend 2, but i did get up to the point of Icey Rays. Of the two things i had issue with one of them is the frozen state of targets is really short. Like 2 seconds.
i get that this is twitch based fighting, but the whole point of freezing an enemy is to take them out of play to deal with the rest.
Am i the only one that thinks this?
