Hello everyone!
I've been dying to play a FR based MMO. I've played a lot with Neverwinter Nights and fan-based RP servers, and of course, PnP 4e with my friends. So I can't be more excited with this game!
The only bad thing I've seen son far is that drows are restricted. Someone told me that they won't be released until 60 days after the official launch, right? Do we have to pay almost 200 dollars to pick them when the Open Beta is released? Can't there be a cheaper pack for those who just want to play the race? Lol.
I've made a Wizard, since spellcasters have been my favorite class so far. Some say the class is UP but I find it incredibly fun, just pushing, rooting and bursting people over and over.
Um, well, this is ending up a bit longer than I expected. I'm 21 and currently looking for a group or RP guild! I don't think I will be very serious with my current character (Julia Darkholme) as I intend to play a Drow Wizard, but I'll need to wait until that gets released.

Wanted to help clarify a few things for you. Drow will be available for everyone 60 days after launch as it currently stands. They will be available for all players. What happened was a miscommunication in the advertisement of the Menzoberanzan Renegade background that will available for Hero of the North Founder's Pack purchasers. This is only a background that will be available for Drow characters that opens up few extra things to make them stand out, not the Drow race itself. So I suppose yeah if you really want to play Drow at launch that'd be the only way to do it.
If you enjoy Wizard keep up with it! Don't worry about it being "under-powered" like so many seem to think it is. If you are having fun playing it, then you're most likely doing it right, lol. Control Wizard isn't the "nuker" damage dealing class that the modern MMO Michael Bay Mage-type gets relegated to. D&D Wizards are way too intelligent to only care about explosions, crowd control is more important right?
edit: Felt silly for putting in some serious misinformation, fixed.
If in your journey you seek a guild to aid you on your way, then might I suggest you make your way to the that notice board over there and look at the Directory of the Founder Guilds of Neverwinter as I'm sure you will find something that will take your fancy. All the best.

Phew! Almost lost the dying person!
A fellow PnP player! I iz excited! The game however is not based on 4e gameplay - though it is based on lore.
I am sure there will be many people RP ing with RP specific guild. One place is nw-rp.co for it.
