Ok i know there was only one choice. But i did not take it. I was the scoundral paragon path. Didn't wanna have to respec so i did not choose it when i hit 30..

Anyone else do that as well?

PS: I also did not turn in the last quest it's for 10k .. I will wait for the next beta to turn in

Pretty sure the Trickster Rogue Paragon was the Master Infiltrator. If memory serves me right, the scoundrel was in the feats category with saboteur and one other I can't remember.

There's a wipe too, so may as well check out options during CB.

Save some respec tokens for when it launches :P

You do not have to put all heroic feat points into 1 "tree" to unlock it's paragon path is what i saw. You can mix and match the buffs you want, only the last bonuses unlock the paragon path. For example, if you went all points into the 1st heroic tree, but wanted 3rd paragon path, you just needed to put points into the last set in 3rd heroic path

No you actually choose the paragon path when you hit 30, You can place the heroic feats into any of the paths though. The paragon path is separate from the heroic feats as it mainly gives you different skills and abilities depending on which paragon you choose, but you can actually mix and match the feats as you choose.

Feat selection tree and Paragon path are two completely different things. I know it is confusing, but the "three paths" are just fansy names for three types of rogue - pure DPS, quick or utility.

Paragon path is completely different - right now only one is available, but in future more will be added with time.

I did a full commentary breakdown of all the feats and paragon paths for the second beta weekend. Sorry it's taking me a couple days to post it. Just been really busy at work and IRL in general. I'll have it up asap.

A matter of clarity: The paragon feats that appear when you click look at the tree. Are those feats locked to your paragon path? As in, if I take Scoundrel, can I then only take the feats under the Scoundrel tree? I'd read somewhere where someone said the paragon path and paragon feats were different things, so I just wanted some clarity.

First "smaller" feats are heroic, the other "bigger" are paragon feats. You can pick whichever you like. I picked from all 3 heroic and from 2 paragon feats to gain bonuses. Now how does choosing a path affect that i can't tell but i think the new abilities you gain depend on the path choice.

Choosing Master Inflitrator has no effect on your Feat Selection. All it does is grant you a new at will power. Then several encounter powers as you progress. As far as I know choosing a feat from one of the paragon feat trees doesn't lock you our from the others.

But since this apparently needs clarification.
    Heroic Tier: 1-30
    Paragon Tier: 30-60
    Epic Tier: 60-?

Paragon Paths are basically a subclass with your own class.

Ok, so I pick a paragon path at 30, and that gives me access to abilities associated with that path? Are there passive bonuses as well? And then I can pick feats from any of the paragon feat trees regardless?

They really could stand to make that less confusing. Why put the paragon feats under a paragon path tree if it has nothing to do with path selection?

Sorry to resurrect an old theead but i just reached level 30 a few moments ago and am confused.

So my level up window is forcing me to choose master infiltrator. Looking at the paragon feats i want the middle but i am wondering why i am forced to choose infiltrator? Was it from my prev feat choices?

Or does every rogue in game upon reaching level 30 become "master infiltrator" thanks

Currently, every class has only 1 paragon path and each paragon path has 3 paragon feat trees. They are Saboteur, Scoundrel and Executioner for rogues.
You say 4v5 is impossible? Cool story bro.
