Will we be able to turn using our mouse as well as move using our mouse just like in STO, Champions, lotro, wow, etc. I do not like using keyboard for movement, and this will be the deciding factor if i get a founders pack.
I too normally move with mouse, most games that use WASD movement allows the player to move their character via holding both mouse buttons down, that has always been my preffered method of movement but I do not think it will be possible here because mouse keys are actual skill keys just like 1,2,3,4, etc.

I don't know about forward and back, but turning is all mouse. Being that it is an action game and the left and right buttons are both used to activate combat abilities it would be unlikely that you will be able to move using the buttons and fight in an action based game that you have to be dodging and moving while attacking. How would you strafe while attacking unless you have an naga razor or something you would never have enough buttons on your mouse.

At the moment it seems that two of your skills are mapped to right/left mouse buttons and mouse look is on all the time. Whether mapping left/right to forward/back and mapping your current skills to someplace else is going to be in-game, I don't think there was a solid answer anywhere yet.
I see several possibilities in making movement in Neverwinter to act as closely as possible to "normal" MMO movement
RMB action being remapped to another button. In my case eg mousebutton4, so I can use RMB as mouselook, while moving the character with WASD (A&D are strafing not turning when mouselook is activated)
Mouselook toggle button to change from active running and looking around into a fighting mode.

I got a Logitech G600, I plan on remapping keys to move like normally MMO. The 2 mouse skills I will map to side buttons. On this I would say you need to try it first to see. Maybe download the game RaidersZ from perfert world and try it out there, the movement is similar.
I guess no one truly knows yet. Thanks for the responses. This however will be a make or break point of contention, atleast for me, if those keys can not be rebound, and there is no way to have actuall movement via the mouse, its dead in the water.

Well ... I expect from NORMAL NOWADAYS mmorpg game to have mouse buttons for movement. Yes, yes, ... many had only wasd. In past. Like once there was no mouse at all, all keyboard. Wondering why to support at all mouse.
Could like to play Forsaken World .. but will actually never know this because I have stopped to play in moment I realised there is mouse buttons movement.
And nowadays using keys 1...0, etc ... are standard. And with reason.
You use A and D for strafing, S and W for backwards and forwards. QER are encounter ability's, 1 and 2 are your daily's and left mouse/right mouse at will powers.
Turning/looking up and down are done with mouse movement.
This is the standard and its easy to adapt
Neverwinter plays exactly like I play every other MMO, except in this one I don't have to constantly hold down the right mouse button.
Yeah and its the antithesis of how I've played every MMO, even games with free-flowing "action" combat like GW2.
I will dislike the combat. I can tell already. It was designed by a guy who desperately wanted a "biff-biff, bang-bang" style, not too far from how people play FPS. It was a bold decision. I think a lot of power gamers are going to love it, because it so fast and relentless.
But the mouse sucks, I mean as touch screens and eye tracking gets more pervasive, it's also a dodo, much like the joystick. So I don't see it as "the future" at all.
But, I'll concede I'll get used to it. I don't play these games for combat mechanics anyway, I'll tolerate the "cowboys and indians" style of combat here, live with the fact, one of my hand is constantly occupied by the mouse (making RPing while you fight even harder than it already is) and the fact I have a keyboard, that has nearly a hundred buttons all at finger-reach and I can type a mile a minute already, so I am thoroughly adept at hitting any of the keys in a flash.
And rely on some old stodgy thing invented in the late 70's, that even the slightest bump or accidental twitch, could set me on the wrong course.
I know, I'm griping, and I really do believe I'll be fine with it eventually, truly. But I can't say I find the combat methodology in this game "avant garde" at all, and I wager there will be a segment of players, who will feel the same way.
I am very glad so many of you love it, proof, clearly that perhaps Cryptic did the right thing after all.

I was able to remap all keys in BW1 to allow for standard RPG mouse/keyboard controls including mouse movement. The only real difference is "Free Looking" with the camera. But combat controls can all be remapped to 1-9 etc and movement can be remapped to holding down both mouse buttons etc.

I was actually pretty happy to see the attacks mapped to Q, E, R, as those are the first keys I always re-map my hotbar abilities to in every other MMO.
I usually use Q, E, R, F, C, X, Z, V, G, T, Y, H for my main abilities on a 12-slot hotbar, then ALT plus each of those for my secondary bar, then SHIFT plus each of those for a third bar. Then I use the 1 through = for a side bar with less commonly used things like long-term buffs or items and so on.
For whatever reason, I just hate reaching up to the number keys for commonly used combat abilities. I like to be able to hit everything easily while moving or strafing, and the number key row just feels uncomfortable for me for that purpose. So I use the letters around WASD instead, and that feels faster and more effective to me.
In Neverwinter I keep Q, E, R for encounters, but use X and Z for dailies, keep F for interact, but use C, V, G for the three belt slots. I've kept Tab for class mechanic thus far, but I might re-bind that. I'm not sure. It works well enough. And I use Shift for dodge/block.
The movement system as of now seems horrible. Why re-invent the wheel? Having my mouse target locked to the center of the screen and no mouse movement is like playing a game from the late 80's. And why do we have to 'pause' game play to be able to use a cursor?

Yes, 'tab targeting' systems are the future. Much more engaging and skillful!

Actually, that isn't true. I played as many mouse-only games in the 1980s (Atari ST) as I played keyboard-based games. They are just two different control systems, with none being somehow superior to the other. Most FPS games use keyboard controls for movement, for example, and there are plenty of isometric RPGs who do this as well, both current and old. Games that use the mouse for movement often still have hotkeys for skills and attacking.
WoW's click/hotbar/tab system is not the standard, it's just one approach that others copied. They didn't even come up with it first, but since so many people never played any MMOs or video games before WoW there is this false belief that they invented it. If anything it's pretty worn out and overdone after eight years.
I find Neverwinter's system progressive and well-designed. It works well with the fast-paced combat, is highly responsive and accurate. For this game, and with this combat system, keyboard movement ad keyboard hotkeys is an ideal choice. I understand that people who are "clickers" in WoW may need some time to get used to it, but that doesn't make it a bad system. It's just a different system and it's fine the way it is.
Using 1-0 keys is also not standard. It's not ergonomic at all and it's tedious. You can change the bindings in Neverwinter to those keys, but I already used QERFT etc. in WoW and other hotkey games. For good reason: it's ergonomic.

Like, point-and-click? Highly unlikely, since that'd go against the design of the combat system and the entire game. It's possible that you'll get alternative options later on from devs or users, but I wouldn't count on it too much.
I honestly don't think you'd enjoy the combat that much if this is a strong point for you. It mimics third-person action games more than it does traditional MMOs or isometric-view roguelikes.
I know what you mean but be careful, the kiddies like to defend the clunky controls for whatever reason. Most of them are really using the left mouse button to attack and the shift key to block, instead of, Q to block and E to attack... i think this says it all..
So anyone who doesn't use your preferred setup "doesn't know any better"? Boy, you're dense. And newsflash, that's how typical PC action game setup works - LMB to attack, Shift or RMB to block. Now go back under your bridge and take your consolitis-infested key setup with you
But the mouse sucks, I mean as touch screens and eye tracking gets more pervasive, it's also a dodo, much like the joystick. So I don't see it as "the future" at all.
Honestly, the modern attempts to shoe-horn "touch" interface into everything, regardless of whether it's a good idea or not (see: Windows 8 and Mac OS X 10.8, among others) is terrible. Yes, touch is great for your handheld device with it's small screen. It's awful for a desktop computer (who wants to constantly be reaching their arm up to do HAMSTER on the screen), or for anyone who's doing work requiring any real level of accuracy.
Yes, it's cool when Tom Cruise (Minority Report) or RDJ (Iron Man) are waving their arms around in mid air to make all sorts of super-complex stuff happen on their holographic monitor banks. But it's lousy user-interface. What's wrong with having good, highly effective, and different tools for different jobs? Mouse & keyboard has been on desktop computers for so long because it works. And yeah, a table interface is great.... for tablets. But just like trying to stick M+K on a tablet would be moronic, so is trying to operate a desktop with a touchscreen.
When you try to remap the :run foward action, click the special command menu. You can select every mouse button up to mouse button 5 , middle button , scroll up and scroll down.
I was able to achieve a control like WoW setup by remapping the run forward with right mouse button. I'm moving around while holding that button.
sorry for my english by the way but hope it will help you.
