Is there any news about what kinds of emotes Neverwinter will have? It sounds silly to some, but NWN and NWN2 had such a vast library of emotes, i thought it was a great feature. You could choose what your character sounded like, including having a soundset for a sociopath. and each persona had emotes for everything from a battlecry to failed-to-pick-lock. Just wondering if Neverwinter will incorporate this.

Cryptic tends to be the best at emotes, with a huge list of them. Lot's of them even interact with the environment. Unfortunately STO had a large amount of emotes that had to be unlock with zen .

I'll Keep this up till beta goes live. I'll improve it soon.
One of the dances I've seen in a video was the "sexy_dance" as the STO foundry had it listed, which was available to players for drinking a beverage that was required for a featured mission. I never did get why they didn't sell that emote, as if it went for a dime each, they'd have made thousands off of it. But I expect the emoted will include some recycled emotes from CO and STO, as well as some new ones that are fitting for the fantasy setting.

Because this isn't obvious to everyone (like me...), here's how you can see a list of emotes.
First, press the Alt key to release your cursor. Then click on the little chat balloon icon in the bottom left corner of your chat window. Select "Emotes," and you'll see a pick list of emotes you can do. Once you know some of the emote names, you can type them on a chat command line by typing /e, a space, and then a few letters of the emote you're shooting for. For example, this will do the folk dance:
/e dance_folk
After you type at least three letters, look for the autofill suggestion to get the exact name of the emote you're looking for.
I think we need Tavern friendly emotes, like to sit in a chair or bar stool and drink mead or eat meat or eat bread or even cheese. Having some 'Realms born emotes would do wonders for the Roleplay community.

Thanks, I knew there was a way to trigger them without the flaming mouse but couldn't get them to work.

Nice, a good roleplaying game needs them imo.

But be prepared to be stuck with what we have so far. That way, you're never disappointed!!
