Find out why Forbes says The Foundry "brings game design power to the player" in their spotlight article here.

"The Foundry is fully integrated user-generated content that's part of the actual game, and will give players a new way to engage with other players and the MMORPG itself. The implications behind this system are staggering. The possibilities are endless, with players fueling the demanding content needs that every MMORPG inevitably faces."

May I be the first to ask you, officially of course, to take those bear emotes on a long walk through a small brush fire?

Having played scores of MMO over the last thirty years or so, I think that the Foundry is a huge advancement that will help Neverwinter to achieve a long term success that will rival the best of games. Players quickly become bored, running the same missions/quests repeatedly over and over. The devs can only produce so much content in a release period. The Foundry, particularly with its ranking system, will offer the players new dungeons to explore on almost a daily basis. Instead of having to repeat content over and over again, something fresh will always be there to explore and complete.

Endgame in any MMO is an issue. The Foundry will go a long ways towards making the endgame content something to look forward to as well as the usual content that comes packaged with the game.

The truth be told, I suspect that many MMO producers are looking at the Foundry and wondering how they can implement it in their own products. The future of MMO and the gaming industry looks bright from my standpoint, with much more on the horizon to come.

    My Best,

    Ezra

Very intriguing! I must admit, the foundry is what brought me over here to start poking around, any tips to a newbie as to where I might best look for more information on this feature?

*Derp, nevermind, need to be more patient, just found the Pax Prime video, amazing!
