Today: I saw something I hadn't seen in many months. In one 24 hour period, the number of new posts, exceeded one page.

Now, I know the delays in the game, then the transition to the new site cost us a lot of active membership posting, if not outright members here. But seeing people post in a large number of threads again, and having a strong communication (not just "this rules" or this bites," gives me a sense of user participation I was wondering if it would ever return without some major game announcement or game-play release. Seeing this happen on a weekend that is pretty non-descriptive gives me hope that not only can we return to the membership activity before the drop-off, but we can exceed it even before we start things like Beta.

So again, my personal thanks to all posting members of this site (players, admins, and cryptic staff alike;) and keep it up!

*takes a bow* Yay a standing ovassion!

...I can dream can't I...? :-(

But in all honesty I noticed this as well and it was indeed an awesome thing to come on to. Next time however I hope to not have the-posts-which-shall-not-be-named on the front page mixed in with quality posts!

The game may be delayed but it's great that new faces more and more often come on board and show interest in the game and it's progress.

And that thread for posts-that-shall-not-be-named was only one and reported. I hope those kinds of things get deleted.

Oh wow, I thought they got pushed to page 2.

When I got on earlier there was about 8+ copies of them. Quite disgusting.
Well at least all but one disappeared but yeah...there was about 2 pages of new posts including those 8 threads-which-must-not-be-named.

I'm glad for a number of reasons, the increased forum participation seeing more post from a cryptic rep and more regular updates on the main page. I have heard rumblings of a mid October beta and hopefully all of this is a precursor to that.

I'm hoping the trend continues and that Cryptic/PW "strike while the iron is hot." So long as there's not another delay from another major change/addition and the fan base picks up they're setting themselves up for a very successful launch. Let's kick this thing into overdrive! :D

Nicely said Truth, yeah there are some long time bruv's on here that keep the circle spinning, by adding information and promotion of the game, i love reading Gilly's posts, always comical and he has a great imagination. you Sir are a human Sponge soaking up imfomation and updating for new users about the game, Aandre's poll's are fun and to the point, Zeb knows his D&d lore, Stormdragon You are one of the Originals Loyalty knows no bounds you were here before all of us, Vangald always cracks me up, DOT love reading his posts, always Informative as well as ambisinisterr and vindicon. We have lost a few on the way, Cybertroll, captainquirk, Jendrak, Foil, granmazzo to name a few hopefully they will come back, closer to launch but i thnk Foil and jendrak were lost in the combination of the websites.

Its almost a shame that i feel this website suffers as it seems the mentality of advertising has come down to a mobile platform, ie facebook, twitter, maybe im too old to understand, and the fact that i dont own a mobile (b:chuckle sometimes i dont wanna be contacted), but i see the updating and promotion seems to more fluent there than the actual website.

if it wasnt for this circle of Teamwork goin on (IMO) ...... i hate to see where it would be.

Thinking this myself. I'd say there's an influx of interest after the three cons and the ensuing publicity. Hence the new wave of interest (which I preceed, thank you ;]).

From a marketing and sales perspective the next few weeks are the ideal time to start some beta action - it'll hype the interest even more and fan the flames of enthusiatsm in the gaming community.

COurse, has nothing at all to do with what actually happens ;)

Even if he was an employee that information couldn't be given out ;-)

However what is clear to see is that Truthseeker has the best hopes for the game and the player community. That's all that really matters now, ain't it? :-D

I'm just a poster like the rest of you who goes the extra mile to keep people talking and share credit (or blame) where credit (or blame) is due!

I'm just another poster and have no idea where this idea of me being "special" or "undercover" comes from

*And several black vans and a few black helicopters pull up and "escort" catburger003*

...just like everybody else. Move along, nothing to see here.

If Cryptic/PW uses spam blockers (which I hope they do), if there is a failure in one of the links in the chain (as happened to me twice in the past two weeks -- Stop Forum Spam was down for several hours), more spam can make it through. Fortunately for me, I require admin approval of all accounts before they can post, so my members weren't subject to malicious posts. But that may be why this site saw an uptick in spam posts recently.

*Blushes and gets flattered* Just wondering because you seem to know a LOT OF HAMSTER ABOUT THIS! Must be an ultimate fan though :P. Never played any DnD or whatever you call it type of game in my childhood though. Maybe that's why you know too much?

What if Ao was one of us
Just a player character like one of us
Just a wizard up in his tower
Trying to scribe his magical power
He's trying to make a spell tome
Locked up with wards all alone
Nobody contacting by telepathy in sleep
Except for the Lords maybe of Waterdeep

And if suddenly "Pain" were to portal
lady of pain looking at Ao immortal
Would by her beauty he be dazed?
And just like others he be mazed?
I bet you he will suffer -20 wis penalty
He would slur, smile stupidly at her gaze so sultry...
And if he doesn't look at her, slurs or acts high
Then panic my friends, (it means) she is his wife!!!

If Ao had a face what would it look like
And would Exarchs want to see
If seeing meant that characters would have to believe
In things like Divine power sources, and Primal Power, and Invokers and all the Minions....

I just have to share backing up here a bit earlier in the thread.

Ladies and Gentleman, the virtual Bronx is burning!
Arrogant, pompous, obnoxious, vain, cruel, verbose, a showoff. I have been called all of these. Of course, I am.

Impersonating Howard CO-SELL, I wish you a good night!
