Wow, I so wish I could go to E3. But the travel cost alone would sink me.
To everyone who gets to go, enjoy! Others here will live vicariously through you!

I am not affiliated with any Industry groups asscociated with E3 even though I live in Los Angeles. I'd love to go, but don't see how I would get into something closed to the general public.

Really good point; I have attended several E3's in my day and have done consulting with several developers...still I couldn't get admitted to E3 this year even if I wanted to go...so this announcement means nothing to those of us on the forums.

I've been to several E3s myself, in the 90s/early 00s... and even though its invitation only (journalists can get in also btw), I know for a fact a company in the loop can "sponsor" anyone. Wouldn't it have been an awesome promotion if PW/Cryptic offered this?:

Want a chance to check out the Electronic Entertainment Expo this June? Well then you're in luck because PW is holding a contest that will send one lucky winner to the event. All hopefuls need to do is submit a video on the PW/Cryptic's Neverwinter website as to why you should be chosen. The grand prize winner will receive one invitation to E3 as well as a round-trip plane ticket and accommodations. PW/Crytic has scheduled the contest to end at 11:59 on May 3rd.

Bamm! Instant excitement. A vibrant forum community all vying to go to E3. Think the free press would have offset the cost but Oh well.. :)

I agree that the E3 announcement isnt for the great majority of us, if anyone. All that does matter is the information that flows out of the event, and I hope its the type that generates interest on a major scale for all of us. I am definitely starting to get excited about the game again.

E3 is a little different than that. It is generally a "closed" show, not open to the public. That said, ideas similar to this have, in fact, crossed our collective minds.

    Stay tuned!

    Hey Stormshade,
As much as I'd love to go and play Neverwinter...I live in the UK so that sucks :(, so really jelly at all you Americans who can go :/. Anyway, I was was wondering when it says in the article on the homepage that you've linked for us here:

"If you survive the dangers that lurk within, you'll get to roll on the loot table for a chance to win some serious Neverwinter swag!"

When it says "Neverwinter swag!" what sort of things are you guys and girls on the Neverwinter team giving out? As much like my beta key I put in a while ago I might see if I can get them on ebay if its anything fantastic, which I'm sure they will be ;-). Rather than miss out as I always do living in the UK, or of course I'd be more than happy to buy from people from our fine community here who can go and are willing to sell their extra plunder of goodies :P.
