Shared Bank Space

Any plans to increase bank slots to be able to move items between toons and consolidate some multi imports. I can create the same import toon over and over but to move what I can into bank to use on another character will be limited due to default shared bank size.

One workaround I’ve been using is to mail yourself items. I do this on the main server to with profession items since you can’t put them in the bank. Just have to make sure the protection is off on the item. You can fill up the mailbox. Switch to the toon you want the item on and collect from the mailbox.
I did run into an issue with the mailbox not working the first day, but after a reset of the game the mailbox works as expected.

There's a limit to the number of mail you can use to store items.

The issue presented isn’t regarding storing items. It’s easily switching items between different characters with a limited amount of shared bank space. In that effect you can absolutely use the mailbox to move items between characters as a work around. You definitely shouldn’t be using the mailbox to store items long term.

I have and I do. I have stuff stashed in mailbox since mod 3.

On the main server I can see leaving some items in your mailbox, but on the test server you don’t have to. You can literally create as many new characters as you want free. Go through the tutorial and then duplicated one of the several premade characters that has unbound 60 slot bags and you’re set with storage characters. I think most are missing the original point of the original post and that’s limited shared bank space to move items between characters on the test shard. It’s not a long term storage issue. It’s an issue with quickly being able to move items between premade or new characters when you only have 8 shared bank slots.

when you only have 16 shared bank slots.

Interesting, it is better than PC test server which only gives 8 shared bank slots. :(

Sorry. That was a typo on my part. It is only 8 shared slots. Same as PC.

PC and Xbox preview definitely needs larger shared bank spaces... I wonder if they have a performance or logistical reasoning for limiting bank spaces though. I wouldnt ask for the whole 120 slots or anything but at least 3 rows... so 24... :)

The solution should be allowing players to buy that from Zen store like live server except for 0 Zen. Same for VIP. Changing the minimum shared bank slot will require coding to tree branching between live server and test server. No need to do extra work.

Wouldnt the amount of work to change the minimum shared bank slots equate to the same or similar work to change having to re-add zen items and change their price to zero?

Not to re-add but to match live version and set the price to 0. Live version has shared bank slot/VIP and other stuff in Zen store for purchase. All of them should be available with the price = 0. To have a proper test server, the test server should match the live server as much as possible.

I agree full-heartedly that this should be an option. They also should be adding the necessary preview amenities.... bazaar pages, SH vendor etc... that are missing on Xbox preview that is on the PC preview. We have a few more days until the Devs come out of hibernation. I am sure we will get some answers.
