Earn companion and mount upgrade tokens from dungeon chests ?

in Player Feedback (PC)
How are we supposed to upgrade our meager number of comps and mounts in a new alt .... with campaign currency and refinement ?
or do we have to buy lockboxes ...or just buy everything from auction house which cost a fortune...
