Make Dungeon Drop rewards Sellable

This may strike a nerve with some players about getting rich schemes, but if your on the other end of the unable to run content due to low guild alliance tree then please hear me out. What I been seeing and I will give an example for this called TOMM. Still to this day I believe more than 80% of players cannot run this still two years out. What I think needs to happen is to allow players to sell all drops from dungeon/trial content. This would not only encourage players to stick around for the sweet sweet competitive AD market, but allow lower level players who can't get into the content due to low guild/alliance/IL to still be able to grind dailies to buy the gear they need to be better competitive to be able to enter the content hopefully faster. I have watched players leave low level alliances for the empty promises of the TOMM weapons and never get them as they can't be carried and ultimately quit the game. Allowing players to sell drops like weapons and gear, would help others to gear up faster and even if they can't run Tomm, now perhaps they are able to run VOS with better weapons or some sort of armor like RIB Cage. I honestly never saw issues so bad with players leaving than those who cant raise up their gear scores or gain access to content due to the revolving door player base we have right now making every gap between new and vets bigger and bigger. People will want to run content more for the dream of making AD to upgrade their character as well as farming allows for support of alts we as players have as well. New players can run dailies and other content their current IL allows them to until they can buy what they need to reach the next level. Everyone is happy. Running VOS for example for a specific ring you need 200 times and still not get it is also not fun. But allowing the rings to be sold/traded like the weapons will help with burn out and massive emptiness between MOD's. For those players who say no and think I want something to hold over others to show off...well we have it, Halister's cape, Zariel's Lion mount. These kinds of things can still be niche showcases of exclusiveness for running a specific dungeon or trial 200 times. I think it would also be a bonus for those who like to unlock things like this in game to stick around as well. Please consider allowing all drops to be sellable/trade and adding niche things up front to dungeons/trial so players stick around longer. The more something saturates the market, the cheaper it will become for all to have access to it quicker to run all content. Thank you for your time.

The gear of the dungeon was sellable in AH long time ago. They removed that for a "reason".
The gear of the dungeon (or from somewhere else) could be salvaged to get AD long time ago. They removed that for a "reason".
That is it is not they cannot do that. It is they "consider" it is bad for "reasons".
Yes, they fully aware of your reasons which comes up time to time in the past 5 years.

Well the game isn't the same as it was before for "reasons", so now they should start to consider new "reasons" to retain player base.

That might be a reason that they won't. :D

agree but putting a price limit on things would help a lot more given the speculators who take advantage of it today it is almost impossible to grind even 100,000,

The result of the "change" is the same (players not happy, quit the game, too much AD, too little AD, ...). The way players complained is the same. The "retain player base" argument is the same all these years.
And do they really want to retain the current player base? May be they want a new generation of new players and not us.

    They're definitely working towards that.

I'm really hoping I'm not reading this correctly. Did you just say it's almost impossible to grind 100,000 RAD's? If I pull Svardvorg and use all 3 keys with the bonus rough ad's I purchase using the legacy quests, I pull in over 100k from a few minutes playtime. I always try to keep at least 70k-100k bonus on my toons. Never know if someone is going to ask you to join an REDQ or RTQ. :)

They got rid of a lot of that stuff Winter because they couldn't keep the bots from farming and subsequently using the game to sell for real world $$. You bring up a good point about the Guild boons. You have to understand though, that many people don't want to be in a guild or they are in one and don't want to contribute to building up the stronghold. Those are their decisions so they are "suffering" their consequences for making those decisions. I still come up with plenty to sell on the AH btw, just not the same stuff. I do level insignia, enchants, runes and sell them also. Mastercraft is probably going to be the next big thing there. Many won't be able to do it though because of the reason I mentioned earlier.

People are selling behind the scenes now for real world money for Tomm or T3 hunt drops by bringing in players into the party ahead of time and they only pay if they get the drop they are looking for. Only now besides real world money and or game items being involved it is easier than ever to scam players who do not know they are about to be taken for a ride. I heard the horror stories, some of it posted on reddit as well. By making things unbound and able to be sold in AH, your securing safety for most players who do not have to take the risk of shady traders or fake carries for upfront payments. I agree the game will always have bots no matter what you do, but its not as profitable as it once was. Most have moved onto recent games that are the current hot titles of 2021. I would also like the RNG very much improved in this game. The randomness is way to much for most players to accept. Due to Sharander and its horrid design of RNG locked withing RNG and reward rolls of RNG..well I can say I know 20+ players who quit and went to Elder scrolls online and one went to Final Fantasy 14. These are years of long term players who left. I tried putting out the warnings in the past and just get shut down by strange players in the forums..but I am telling you the truth...the numbers do not lie. If my alliance took a hit..check your friends list...does it feel a lot less full these days? I was told out right by some of those players that they refuse to return and why..I am sharing my knowledge here from first hand experience. I am trying to help the game, but I do not think most care at this point. Only so much I can do. So now we get new players in, they are getting taken for a ride by scammers who control the gateways to exclusive items..take this power away and hopefully they can catch up to veterans and play with those who still remain.

You and I know at least one of the same players that quit. You make very good points, but like many, I've all but given up on them listening to players suggestions. I don't think people are being very realistic though if they think that after a month or 3, they should be at the same level as someone who has been grinding for a year, or in some cases, years. Some can get the gear and do fine, but others haven't even truly learned their toons mechanics let alone finished their boons and the needed upgrades to all their little shiny enchants, runes, etc. I would suggest that if they don't want to make them unbound again, that they sell it themselves either for tradebars, AD's, or Zen. If they sold it for AD's, that would at least get rid of some of the excess that is in the game and slow the inflation for a bit. Let's face it, AD's are so easy to accumulate now it's not even funny. A couple of randoms and you have a backlog for the next day. If they sold it for Zen, then they could meet a couple of requirements: 1. Make money. Let's face it, they are a business and have to turn profit or die. 2. Folks won't be getting hustled by crooks that aren't even worth wiping off of the bottom of your shoe. 3. Make the Zen store more appealing for folks that have been around for a few years and have most of the good stuff it offers already.

I do worry about gear being sold in the Zen store for a couple reasons though.

    1. They normally way overprice the few newer things that have been introduced. I won't even think about paying $100 +tax US for something that I can grind for or might get a drop of something that is as good or just about as good.
    2. For the players that can't really afford to purchase Zen, they are in the same boat because the AD->Zen exchange was all but broken because of the wait time. The last I heard it was about 3 months. I might have used it once in all the years I've played and I think it was actually because I needed the extra AD's for something that I thought I needed right now.
