I believe these come from queued content end chests. What about those of us that don't participate?

From normal questing I have hundreds of Shard of Empowerment. What about an option to refine X# of normal shards into a Shard of Greater Empowerment? And please - no Shard Powder lol.

    Just sell them in the AH as I do, you will be better for it. I don't know what they are currently fetching. I forget what I did with the stupid free mount collar they gave me. Might be in inventory bag somewhere. The collars and shards are just more refinement to distract you from the truth.

    I don't think i'll make 5 mythic collars in my life. 'till now i found/got only 11 greater shards. This need some changes.

    I want to know what person at Cryptic has this fetish with all these random currencies? It has been like this since the game started. We cannot just have a grind for gold and paid currency, we need more currencies!! While the Shard of Empowerment is not listed under currencies that is exactly the known function. When refinement "costs" X number of Y items, they are traded and sold in the AH as another form of currency. It is simple to add currency to a game since it only requires a new icon or an old icon retouched. The only thing positive about the shards (diamond or empowerment) is they do sell in the AH. Who is buying them? Maybe that same person working at Cryptic with the random currency fetish?

    Got my second today. At this rate I'll be a lich before I get enough to up a leg collar to mythic.

    Drop rate from dungeons is really low. Though you can buy them at the AH from other ppl for only 130k each. So you only need 13million AD to upgrade your legendary collars to mythic. Not to add the insane insignia dust required.

    Later mods will add more sources of these resources. Right now these things exist for the whales...
