Greetings!
GM Twylabite considered it a bug and advised to share my problem here... so, here you go.
I'm doing the "Fizz Fizz Bang Bang" masterwork quest with my character. It requires to create level 8 masterwork potions from rare and expensive resources. Even with top resources (450 skill artisan, forgehammer of gond, proficiency supplement) the chance for success is around 85%. That is, of course, mildly annoying, but let's say, part of the game.
However, my overachiever artisan produced "+1" potions two times (once for accuracy and once for deflection). While +1 masterwork resources can be downgraded to basic resources (righ click, convert), I seemingly cannot do this with these potions.
Problem is, the quest giver, the "Artisan" in the stronghold does not accept these potions. What should I do? It is not my fault that it became a +1 potion, not a simple one. I spent loads of guild marks, gold and AD on it. The level 8 +1 potion itself is useless, because you can do level 10 ones with basic resources.
Had the quest been "bring +1 potions" and my artisan created only basic ones, oh well, tough luck, I need to be better. But punishing me for being good/lucky seems unfair.
Could you make the Artisan accept the quest or switch these +1 potions to normal?
If you could help me I'd be very grateful.

If, however, a non-finished product is missing the ability to convert after the 'fix', then I believe the devs are obligated to remedy the problem. Otherwise, it is WAI.
I hear other players occasionally scream when their proficiency is 0 and a +1 is still produced. Personally, I absolutely see no need for the entire +1 mechanism to exist other than waving another carrot in front of the player fooling them into thinking it is a good thing. If the idea is to create a better item, then add a new item with the better stats outright. Lord knows we have lots of useless Ebony Logs and Companion Upgrade Tomes that could be used as ingredients for something ...
I have been trying to level armorsmithing to lvl 4 during this week of SH GM discount.
With focus at 0% I still managed to make four +1 armors and only 2 normal ones, so a bunch of materials/reagents/AD just went down the drain.
My suggestion for an easy fix: Make a checkbox we can mark, that just disables +1 crafting results.
