Even though I'm online on PSN and my profile shows I'm online, I appear offline to my friends in NW. I cannot get invited to groups, other than direct line-of-sigt. I've heard other players have the same problem. Does the changing of your PSN @NAME have anything to do with this?

    try using "/unhide" in the chat box. I had the same problem and this fixed it.

    Thanks for the input. I typed it in the chat box, but unfortunately nothing happened, I'm still showing as offline. I did it a couple of times and restarted the application, but still no go.

    I did a bit of research on this and Sony has stated for many games changing your @ name will cause these types of issues in many games. Being Sony they didn't list which games of course, but I suspect your guess is right.

    I assume you have rebooted and singed in and out of your PSN account as well?

    Yes, a couple of people that I've been talking to about this had changed their @NAME, and had the same issue. You wouldn't happen to know if changingv your @NAME back to the original will solve the issue?
