resonance drops

any 1 esle having this problem i am only get resonance drop from the orange he in UM

    Oh so it's the color. I wondered why most corruptions don't drop any resonance for me.

    After seeing this post I tested maybe 10 runic corruptions. It does indeed look like only orange corruptions drop any resonance for me. Others like yellow or purple drop no resonance at all.

    Not sure if that matters but the orange ones were always in the same location: the beach in southern Twisted Caverns. Two yellow corruptions at the same beach did not drop anything.

    I have not tried farming resonance since the last patch, so maybe something with the patch messed it up as it was fine before.

    I've run over 10 runic corruptions, maybe more than 20, during the last day or so and received zero resonance. I haven't been tracking the color of corruptions, so I don't know if I've run any orange. Regardless, I've received zero. I've run them in both Twisted Caverns and Wyllowwood.

    I had received some last weekend, but zero over the last couple days.

    For some reason resonance started dropping from other colors for me today. No idea what caused it but so far all colors in different zones drop resonance.

    Same trouble for me, a couple of days ago they stopped dropping for a few hours, then the problem seemed to go away by itself. Then the day before yesterday drops of any resonance at all stopped dead.

    I have/had maybe 90-99 crystals in my bag - no rage, just the others.


    If there's a weekly cap involved it would be nice of someone would confirm it please.
    No idea what my toon is now.

    Not sure what happened, maybe user error... I logged today. Notice competed quest ready to complete in YP, didn't see it the day before. Completed it. Later tied corruptions to see if I'd get drops. I received plenty of drops, multiple colors. So looks like it's fixed.

    I've had a grand total of 0 resonance drops from runic encounters since i finished the quest that introduces you to them - got the needed resonance + the artifact during the quest pretty quickly but never any after that and i've done the next etching quest as well.

    Haven't specifically checked orange encounters but i'm 10+ full encounters in and still 0 resonance. I saw someone mention that they were getting drops fine up until last Thursday's patch and then it stopped.


    EDIT: OP may be on to something.


    I just tested all 5 runic encounters and OP appears to be correct - blue, green, yellow and purple encounters never dropped any resonance.

    In 3 minutes in an orange encounter i received 31 resonance drops total ( 19 orange, 3 blue, 2 yellow, 4 green, 3 purple ), i'll try to find some more orange encounters but considering this is the first time i've actually received any resonance drops is very telling.

    Okay, worked it out. You need to have the quest about restoring gear active from that vendor/lady in the corner upstairs in yawning portal.

    I'd abandoned it after I'd decided to not bother restoring anything, as soon as I reaquired it, the drops recommenced.
    No idea what my toon is now.
