Star of Simril Companion for Winter Festival

My Star of Simril Companion has 3 ring slots, but I can't equip any rings in them.
If I click the selection tab near a slot it tell me that I have "No equippable items".
(yes I have rings to put there)

Does anyone know a work around for this issue?

I have only run into his problem when I have maxxed out my companion slots. Once I freed up an empty space, sent the companion to storage and re-slotted in an empty spot, I was able to equip gear on it.

I've got the same problem and the un-slotting & re-slotting tip didn't help.
I've even tried to train and upgrade it to lvl 35 purple quality to no avail.

On my ticket, the gamemaster said that it is a known issue and would be addressed via news when it is fixed.

Already next year and not yet resolved. Additionally, or is it just me -= Active Bonus also does not seem to add/ be "active"? No reply on my ticket (yet).

I didn't see this post til after i posted about the active bonus. I haven't tried equipping anything yet. The gold gain active bonus only applies for a few seconds then drops off.

has anyone tried equipping other stuff in the slots? I haven't activated a Star yet and have decided to wait until this is fixed, just curious

It's not possible to equip any items into the slots. Don't know what the holdup for fixing this might be. Seems like it should be an easy fix as there are other companions with rings only coded into them that should be possible to copy said code from into this companion. It's not even mentioned as something they are working on, on the Patch notes they post.

I am still having problems adding items to the Star of Simiril slots. I originally contacted support about it. The person said they passed it on to the developers. This was in December 2018. I have not heard anything since and I still cannot use the companion.
