Email code?

Is it common for the email code for a new user to take several hours before appearing? I downloaded the game around 2 this afternoon, hit "play" around 4, and have yet to see the email show up. Please advise.

    i don't remember needing a coide buut its been a while..anyhow...check all your folders, if its gmail or a yahoo (good god i hope not) you might need it to be resent a time or two

    I had a problem earlier when I signed in getting the code to appear... but then I was using a second party server (MS Mail) to get my email from Outlook... When I signed into the outlook server directly I found the sign in code in the mailbox waiting for me.

    I've heard of others having the same thing happening to them... sometimes it isn't a problem on Cryptic's end but with the way mail is transferred from the primary server.

    Well, it's been like 9 hours now and still no code. I've been checking my email regularly directly on the server and nothing's there.

    Isn't there a resend code option?

    You can also try https://secure.crypticstudios.com/ and disable account guard temporarily (not recommended).
