Howdy Folks,
As a long time streamer who recently started playing Neverwinter as their main streamed game I was surprised by a few things.
#1 Just how amazing this game and community are
#2 How representation on Twitch is so small
So I was wondering if the developers have ever considered
Twitch drops and a Twitch stream team as a way to provide more positive exposure to Neverwinter and obtain new players to join the adventure!
If you are not a user or a fan of Twitch then this may not pertain directly to you, but I can attest to another small but popular MMO on Twitch that the inclusion of Twitch drops added at least 1000 - 1500 consistent viewers daily to the game. Yes, it was to obtain the sweet in game loot that came from the drops, but it really helped get some needed attention and attract new and returning players/viewers that would normally disregard said game.
Now, you may all say "you're just doing this for yourself" and you would be correct, I am doing it to gain something for myself but also to bring in people to this great hidden gem of a MMO. Not all streamers are money grabbing
HAMSTER bags.
Regardless if this venture gains traction, I'll continue to play and stream Neverwinter and enjoy every minute of it. I just see the benefits of having an extra layer of positive social media at the developers disposal.
So let me know you thoughts on this topic.
Thanks!
