Effective level?

Hi ppl, I returned to neverwinter after a few months (last time I played the refining points system was not around) and when I logged in with my lvl64 char, it says that its iffective lvl was changed and i got no idea what this means, it is stuck at lvl 64(70) I lvled up and this did not change. What happened?

    Did you level up to level 70?

    Also are you in an instance/dungeon which changes your level down or up?

    Sounds like you are in an area which scales your level - it doesn't really affect your actual level - scaling just makes you a bit weaker or stronger to match the mobs in the area.

    Just go to Protector's Enclave, for example. You should have your true level there.

    It will return to normal when you leave that area

    I hate paying taxes! Why must I pay thousands of dollars in taxes when everything I buy is taxed anyways!

    That's normal, then. The elemental areas were designed for players between 60 and 70 and you get scaled accordingly. Don't worry.

    The scaling process causes some hiccups with potions as well. It can be gotten around by teaming u ith another PC at the level needed, your in't there.

    solved it, went to protector´s enclave and lvl went back to normal, thx
