What to do with rare loot?

  In general, nobody worries about equipment until they are level 70, so there is a very tiny market for that equipment. I would suggest just converting to RP if possible, otherwise just vendor it for gold. Unless it is desirable as a transmute, it is unlikely to sell on AH, but it may. As for price, search for others of same name and see what they are listed for. Price yours competitively.

  The tip I was given once is to see if the item drops identified with a name. If it has a special name, it is likely a very very rare boss drop or quest drop that is desirable as a transmute. Stick it in your bank or mailbox so you don't accidentally refine it, and go check on it again when you're 70. Some named items will sell for millions of AD. Some for just a few thousands. Some you may want to use as transmutes yourself. If it needs to be identified, you will likely get very little ad for it.
