When I divorce, will I need to give 50% to my spouse? Will the system include prenup? Will that be legal if my toon A marry my toon B? Are they siblings?

Gotta pay alimony every week, 120k AD. Then you eat your kids and end up joining Valindra.

May be the gold digger can only get gold.

I was just thinking the one thing preventing me from thoroughly escaping the realities of everyday life was to somehow incorporate marriage into my gaming. Maybe there's a boon system added in to reflect your marriage state as well.
+1000 power if you stay married 3 years -1000 defense, -50% health points, -25% hair coloration, etc if you make it to 10 years -500 movement speed for every child you have +3 wisdom for divorce -2 intelligence for each additional marriage
Maybe we get new stats too. Something that tracks your sanity level, a stat that increases health depletion as you deal with the stresses of marriage and raising children. A way to pass some of your stats down to your offspring.
While we're at it, why don't we add in a dietary system for the game too.Eaten too many food buffs lately? Packing on the extra pounds? Get to the gym or the only expansions you'll be seeing are in your waistband.
Let'a add a job system too! Bored of hunts? Tired of unlucky runs that leave you walking out of dungeons empty handed? Well now you can apply for the highly coveted "Chult Jungle Trashman" position and earn some extra gold!
The possibilities are endless.

Ideally, I hope at least there are more and better food options. Too much take out these days.

This already exists in other MMOs. And I always thought it was bizarre there.
But I've been married in RL for a long time, so maybe my POV is skewed. I'd never partake of it as an option in game - if others want to it's fine by me.

Please no.
And on similar unwanted additions, anyone noticed the lack of toilets in NW.... and the lack of toilet paper.... A lot of food goes in.... Sometimes I wonder if all those companion XP tomes as overflow XP reward are actually what Neverwinterians use to clean up..

Don't be silly. Our BiS gear from 3 months ago is what we're supposed to use as toilet paper. That's why they keep giving us more gear. Is it a painful alternative to some nice two ply? Sure. But since when do they care about our pain and suffering.

Man, you people don't know the pain of your finger tearing through the thin toilet paper and touching your butt on the 1st wipe...
Who would you marry - other players? NPCs? And just how many players are NPCs allowed to be married to at the same time?
Won't take long before people are scraping the bottom of the barrel in the Chasm. Though I hear Dorothea may be available pretty soon - but she strikes me as a lifer - so good luck there. Quorthon's a nice catch - then again so's half of Scar Company if you're not too shallow.
- first five eligibles that come to mind: Knox - very manly, but married to his work Trell - brave and charming, but same as above M'tari Prin'tal - industrious and fashionable, but same as Knox and Trell Sybella - lovely personality, but pretty scatterbrained and judging by Knox's reaction to her sometimes, might drive you mad Shay Cutter - tough and intelligent, but prone to skinning you and turning you into a new bag
Marriage or partnering should be an optional thing for players wishing to participate with very limited benefit, say being able to access each other’s Many Coins shared bank accounts… (we'll see how long the 'marriage' lasts then )
Definitely not interested in seeing some kind of partnering option where two players can share and benefit from each other’s guild and in-game, companion or mount’s boons and enhancements as I perceive this as throwing off individual player statistics off way more than they are presently.

If this system were true to the idea of marriage than I think most of us can say the benefits and sharing will be a one way street.
Come to think of it, Neverwinter's basically an open market, isn't it. The only couple I can think of are the Linkletters. Rohini had something weird going with that one warden of hers, but that hardly counts.

Just my 2¢
What do you mean "You wrecked the mount again!?!?"
And, yeah, we have enough issues with people ripping off guilds and you want to make it personal?!?

She also seemed to have something going on with Old Lenn, in Blackdagger Ruins - there is a quest to retrieve some old love letters for him. But well, she IS a succubus.

Even better. There is a joke about "succ" from succubus in there, but lets keep it SFW.

Next thing you know that the content gets dumbed down for the sake of increasing the waifu/husbando potential.
