insignia and enchant drops in dungeons

blue insignias are irritating especially the ones that get put up for need or greed. they are like 100 on the ah. absolutely worthless. why not purple drops instead more people could actually use those to help their toons, and I miss enchant drops in chests at the end of epic dungeons. I'd much rather have a r 8 9 or 10 then a blood ruby. most of the time I didn't use the r8s or above that dropped for refinement. I sold them or helped my alts with them rubies aren't worth as much as enchants.

I would assume the enchant removal is because of how simple it is to rank your own up from scratch now, but I would like to see the epic insigs drop atleast in the campaign chests or off the final boss as a low percentage rare. the cost is around 200-500k off of the auction listings so it would be like buying a few sets of dragon keys to farm with. I hoard the blue ones to dump in the guild mimic as is.

yea I did like finding them too but eh. not sure about xbox but on ps4 the price is about the same as it was for rank 8 darks but there is a bigger loss when thinking radiants, and even still a gain from what might of been a silvery. I'd argue we should be seeing more jadeite drops. this past 2x enchant event I saved up 50 rubies, 48 opals and around the same in aquamarines/sapphires(these I instantly break down for rp so I forget specifically) but only 6 jadeite.

I find character bound blue insignia drops insulting in high level dungeons. Does that mean I want purple insignia in dungeon chests, no. Here's why: they wouldn't simply add one class of high value item without diluting the reward pool with more junk. The net result would be lower chances of getting something valuable. Dropping unbound blue insignia is useless also as the market is already flooded with these. Enchants would be cool, but they would be bound, so only useful for RP, may as well just drop RP. More salvage isn't going to happen because they've pretty much said there is too much AD in the game. Unless something equally worthless is suggested I doubt it will be considered. I think they should just be removed from the drop table to stop slowing gameplay.

you can make a enchant with the gems that you get in your chest and put them up on the ah. the stones you need to get to r8 is so cheap that i dont even use pres wards until it calls for gmops. I like the new system its better then ever to make enchants. But i agree with the insignias that drop after bosses they are normally coffer food for gems

we weren't talking about chest drops for insignias. we were talking about chest drops for enchants

the insignias op was referring to was the ones that drop after bosses not in chest so i think he has a point all they would have to do is replace the bound blue insignia for a bound purple insignia.

Yes, i was referring to chest drops for purple insignia.

Now get your tinfoil hats on and I'll explain why RP is dropping instead of enchants. To remove AD from the game and generate some income.

Refining enchantments is cheap until the rank 6 - 7 upgrade. Up to this point you get the regents from evoking or leadership, for free. You also probably won't use a ward because it isn't worth it. Now at 7 you need 1 GMOP, cost 18750 AD in Bazaar with VIP, and, lately, more expensive in AH. This is an AD sink.

Naturally, when spending that much AD you're going to use a ward. This is income generation (I'm not hating, devs gotta eat too).

Along that thinking if enchants were to drop they would be rank 6. I'd rather have the ruby.

You're thinking like an experienced player. Many people in this game don't know all the ins and outs. I've met players that were north of 15k ilvl who just bought everything they had (mostly wrong stuff) and were oblivious to many things we take for granted.

I'm also wondering about this one. I believe there was a mod here that said that you can get everything here for free without spending real $. What I'm wondering is if there's no one opening lockboxes for this epic insignias, where can we farm the epic ones.

You can't. What the moderator meant is you can convert AD to Zen to buy things without using cash or, use your AD in the AH. They didn't mean everything is farmable.

This is a very real thing that happens in the game.

My guild leads and I went on a recruiting spree awhile back, and several new-ish players were brought in. A day or two later, we were running influence, and lo'! Dragons descended! We found the "culprit," the lead got him into chat, and discovered he sank a lot of cash (oh, and I do mean "a lot") into the game, bought all kinds of things off the zen market (obviously including bells,) and had no idea what any of it was or how much it was worth. It took a good while to convince him to stop putting his campaign currency in the coffer everyday because he would eventually need it. There are indeed players who jump in with both feet, for sure.

I may be misunderstanding what you're asking (and I apologize if I am,) but the "everything can be free" way to farm epic insignia would be farming AD for zen, then buying VIP and key bundles, then opening bunches of boxes.
