[Console] First Bonus Refinement Points Event

Greetings Xbox and PS4 players! A Bonus Refinement Points Event starts this Thursday, January 25, across all platforms. For Console players, this will be the first event of its kind.

How does the new Bonus Refinement Points Event work? During the Bonus Refinement Points event, players above level 10 who kill creatures within 7 levels of them will receive Refinement Points, based on their level, directly granted to their character. There is a 40,000 RP cap per level 70 characters, and 20,000 RP cap for characters level 69 and below.

Many of you have been following feedback to this event from PC players. We are looking forward to adding the feedback from Console players in order to continue refining this event and making overall improvements to the experience.

    Tried Google but found nothing of this online. Quick question.

    The 40.000 points cap, am I right in assuming that this per character, per day? Surely its not the cap per character over the entire event, right?

    Per character, per event. According to previous PC posts, you don't need to worry about hitting the cap.

    You don't need to worry about trying to hit the cap either. The event is worthless and really just a tiny drop of a bonus.

    Aww, that's a shame. :(

    Had hoped that it could at least make up for losing 2 x rp just a little. Lord knows we can't make AD that way anymore.

    Thank you both for taking the time to answer my post. You both answered questions I had, and I didn't have 2 weeks to wait for a Cryptic reply. We all know they are busy fixing bugs in the game, like the major ones in TO9G. That is when they don't deem upgrading the water graphic mechanics in PE more important...

    Getting a bit tired of caps in this game, just a way to artificially drag out play times. Improve the quality of rewards and make more engaging content and you wouldn't need this.

    When you said "you don't need to worry about hitting the cap" you mean is easy to reach that value or more like is impossible to to that on each alt?

    @baca from what I recall reading, you would have to play nonstop for a very long time to hit the cap on one character. So yeah I think it's safe to say near impossible to hit the cap. I don't think the amount of RP you would get per kill was anything great. It really is just a little side bonus of RP while you play.

    Just did the Protecting the Portal quest. Got a grand total of 111 rp. Definitely not a replacement for 2x RP.

    i agree .... compared to old rp 2x event... this new one is entirely laughable.... the bonus points awarded are minute compared to the old system.... since strt of this event ive gotten 3 times my bonus amount jus from the extars i get from my dragon's hoard enchants an the daily celest bags i get with vip.... this event is completely a waste of time an laughable

    The amount of RP you get is ridicolous. If it was not advertised on the top right of the sceen you would not even realize that you are taking a bonus. I wonder why they even did this..

    The funny part is if they never gave us "Bonus RP" we wouldn't feel like we're being slapped in the face.

    We've got permanent double refinement basically. If they had just given us double gems or enchants we would have been happier than being given this farce of an event.

    Well, having the gone through the whole event now all I can say is that calling this "an event" is a bit of a stretch.

    My problem isn't with the amount or anything (any extra free rp is nice). It's that I'm not doing anything special. There's nothing going on that makes me feel like I should be changing my daily pattern to capitalize on this limited time event.

    In terms of rewards I actually think there are worse events out there, but in terms of activities/excitement this is bar none the worst "event" you guys have put forward.

    This probably comes off as angry, but i'm not (again, thanks for the free rp). Just trying to provide feedback on why this event feels so lackluster.
