is there not a boon that increases dc healing by 25% ..umm nope my mistake shadowtouch reduces healing by 25% and a further 75% depression in pvp bringing it to almost a full 100% healing depression in pvp ..there is no outhealing that ..
try healing thru that no matter how high gear score is clearly these players commenting on your gear score dont understand
its hapen to me as well. several times but no one complained. (i am probably not as good as you) i think the matchmaking system actually works and 14k DC is same as 9K scrub now.
iLvL is still an issue, but soloQ in my opinion is much better than mixed queue. My experience is that with old mixedQ 9 out of 10 matches ended up after 10 seconds with trade cap. In 12b so far i get, most of the time, matches where one team is stronger, even clearly stronger, but the losing team gets to kill some and cap without the need for trade caps. And even if trade caps happens, it happens when a good half of the match is gone. Other than that, i got multiple matches that were head to head between close teams, or even matches that started with team A winning, and finished with team B turning the tables in their favor.
In old PvP this was a dream. I think it's both due to soloQ and the changes to PvP.
There's still, here and there, the issue of matchmaking somehow forming one team with multiple 8-9-10k toons, and one team with multiple 14k toons, instead of splitting them equally. Needless to say, the (thankfully few) times this happens, the match ends up in a old-style one sided slaughter.
For me, mod 12b PvP is much better than PvP in the last modules. And i hope it will improve further with class balance and, may be, better matchmaking.
This solo q is lot of fun when your playing support class (like DC) and you have to support/carry low GS players. And after you get blamed for the lost. Yea its a lot of fun.
And after that there is also the players you dont want to play with (can be for many reasons) and magic of solo-q put u in team with them. There is no way to tell the q you dont want to play with those guys. So what do you do? play and get blamed? Dont play and get reported?
Yea definitly a lot of fun.

That's bizarre... I've never seen someone who solo queued with good intentions get HAMSTER for doing it. Any chance they were mistakenly connecting you with a high IL team that had tried to tool the system to queue together? There's waaaaay too much of that going on now, and the obvious fix to that will be to re-randomize the teams after having selected the 10 players.
The big flaw I see in most of these posts is that many people believe these players wantfair matches, and that just isn't the case. 'Elite' PvP players from 'elite' PvP guilds don't want challenging matches - they want to ROFLStomp pugs and boost their match stats. That's why they keep cancelling queues over and over until they think they're all in the same 5, and it's also why they queue naked, or with enchants unslotted.
Just to be clear, I have nothing against people who spend time and money building BiS configurations, and I certainly have nothing against people who want to play together. What bugs me is the ones who try to game the system to get matchups against casual players who want to compete against other casual players. Not enough pre-mades in the regular queue? Fine - queue solo, and make both teams better by splitting up.

LOL LOL LOL PVP does not read item level......... / taking off gear does nothing ...so those people are also wasting their time gaming the system
" PvP doesn't "read" item level, so there's no need for a separate PvP item level. Of course, if we ever did start caring about item level for PvP, we'd have to make some adjustments -- just not counting any of the companion-related stuff might be enough. In any case, not a problem for now."
It would be quite simple. 1 hour PvP ban if you decline 2 times. As simple as that. Similar to quitting a match. If a player declines the solo queue (or makes it expire) 2 times, he/she can't queue for PvP for 1 hour (or 30 minutes). Would at least make it less appealing to use the decline method to sync queue.

ya there should be no decline option at all for pvp solo Q .. if you want to decline dont Q or do your dailies some other time . or quit the game by hitting ALT + F4

good idea, damn how I hate that wannabe sync queue noobs and damn how I hate that players who only feel strong in a group and get nervous when it's 1v1 lol

Hmm... what does 'PvP doesn't "read" item level' mean? Is he talking about the matchmaking algorithm? Because IL certainly matters in PvP...
Not that I'm not happy to hear that all the knuckleheads are wasting time and energy (and cash) undressing/unslotting to queue.

i sneakily pushed the dev when asking "if your mounts and insignia would be (falsely )included in the pvp level upon inspecting " (old item level balance thread when examining people ) also since mounts were not used in normal pvp
and further pushed to show that pvp does not read item level at all for the sake of match making is what i took from his (the devs )comment
also the part about if they every started "caring about item level in pvp " is also quite revealing

Yes, the dev-quote is referring to the matchmaking algorithm. There is no active system evaluating player Ilevel when forming teams. There IS a system, but it was turned off when low population caused queue times to skyrocket over the 1 hour mark.

sometimes people reduce thier item level not to game the Q or system per say but to game over confidant players on the other team to bait them into the match should they happen to examine the other team before hand .. .however if you are familiar iwth the player at hand it has very limited uses to trick people

But yes I guess it can be fun when playing a TR and killing everyone with SOD cause on the other team they only have 1 good GS player.
Shadow of Demise kills regardless of GS. That, perma-dailies and Bloodbath are what TRs have instead of skill or genitals more than 1/3 the normal size.
