FBI and MSP on Random Epic Dungeon Queue

larsalexander123larsalexander123 Member Posts: 66 Arc User
This shouldn't be on this queue. This must be on Hero's Accord because this dungeons are:

1. must be campaign-unlocked
2. not newbie-friendly, this dungeon will be a disaster
3. a waste of time because of high chances of failing even the first part of the dungeon

Please consider this dungeons because this is high-endgame content, it's not really suitable for new players.

I agree with the suggestion for the very reasons described.

I currently take the penalty when I get either of those in a Random Q because I allot 15-30 minutes for a dungeon and an FBI or MSP with randoms can easily take an hour or more--If it can be completed at all.

There are times when I can roll with it, but I don't have that much time for typical runs.

They've been told these exact reasons many times - for some reason they are fixated on keeping them where they are and it is completely illogical.

I suspect that it because they intend these dungeons to be completeable by PuGs and that this is the basis of their plans for the evolution of the game. Their excuse always falls back on saying that playtest groups beat them (nevermind that PuGs are a class of their own) and that the Min IL is easy to achieve now -nevermind that it is too broadly based and has nothing to do with how well people fulfill their roles. The new dungeons are gated by doing mechanics and not nearly as zergable as the old. We still have to kick in Throne because not killing thoons is too complicated. How are these people going to work as a team on the FBI climb or navigating Kabal?

Admitting these things pretty much demolishes any plans they have about over a year's worth of content and everything they have in the works. PuGs won't be able to routinely beat these dungeons until power creep trivializes the.

And if you thought sticking needles in your eyes was fun with FBI and MSP as part of the Epic Dungeon queues now, just wait until the next big endgame dungeon drops and they move ToNG down into the mix. Cryptic shot themselves in the foot back in mod 6 so they decided to even things out by shooting the other one with Mod 12B and the RQ structure. I'd be laughing if it wasn't so painful.

Now that would be a terrible idea.

PUGS, a la LFG can work, because you have some ability to ensure that the team members at least have the stats\build to clear the dungeon. RANDOMS, are well, random.....

This is still a problem with some people? I do ERQ with four toons. That's 14 runs/week. FBI/mSP comes up once, maybe twice, in a week. I just take the penalty. I even leave CN if there isn't a good buffing DC and DPS present as the time to finish CN unbuffed can easily exceed the penalty time.

If you don't want to take the penalty, wait a bit. Chances are someone will leave. Then you can leave without a penalty.

We know that RQ is less random, and more getting routed to what people directly queued for. The only reason FBI/mSP comes up is because someone doesn't know any better and tries to queue for it. They will learn after a few tries, seeing people flee, and waiting a long time for replacements willing to stay. FBI/mSP should show up less as time goes by.
