item stacking in inventory?

I hear lots of folks talking about stacks of 99 of this or that enchantment.
For some reason my enchantment pickups - regardless of being the same as one in my inventory only stack a few before they take up a new slot. In other words I can have 5 spots filled with rank 5 azures.

I'd like to be able to save up big stacks and wait for double refining, but my inventory can't handle it.
Any solutions out there? Is there a Stack stuff button I'm missing?

    You are not missing anything. What you are seeing is normally caused by partially refined enchantments. You can have 3 stacks (usually only 2 for enchantments, BTC is rare for enchantments) under normal conditions. Unbound, BTC and BTA, the refined status if off by even 1 RP makes them unstackable with unrefined causing additional stacks. This happens most frequently with enchantments from the AH. An unrefined Rank 5 should read (0/3,240 to next rank), if you see something other than a zero first that is the problem.

    Best solution: when you find one that won't stack, use it to refine something immediately. Don't wait for 2XRP.

    thank you. I'll check that out tonight. It does happen on enchants I pick up while grinding so I'm not 100% sure.
