Curious about several things here:
1. What's the point of gold in this game? Seems like useful stuff I can buy only for Astral Diamonds or ZEN. Also unique currencies in almost every freaking region, from dungeons, some events and campaigns are all extremely confusing. I have no idea what should I keep and what should I spend. Any insight is appreciated.
2. Should I get myself a mount? If yes, which one? I have vanilla common horse which gives me 50% move speed which is extremely slow. I move with my SW powers much faster. I can buy rare mount from AH, but is it worth it to spend ~40k AD on 80% speed? Don't think it will move much faster then common one tho... Prices for epics on AH are insane, and in ZEN market they are even more insane, even for rare ones. Not sure I want to spend cash on mount yet.
3.Should I buy myself more companions for gold to fill up slots, or there will be better ones later available? I got spiky dwarf from the Underdark quests, will there be more?
4. Should I refine/level basic artifacts and epic enchantments (from promo chest) or should I wait for better items to drop?
5. Is it the priority to buy bank slots? Most useful stuff I get (like some stones) are bound to character by default. I'm not sure I should sell them and I have no use for them now, but might have later, and seems like I can store it only in inventory or my personal bank slots. My inventory will have no space soon at this rate and +16 bank slots doesn't seem like to be enough too, considering how much supposedly useful stuff I get...
6. Should I even consider leveling any profession without spending real cash on it? I'm not really interested in crafting in any game and most stuff needed for progression (like better crafters and some materials) seems like I can only get from ZEN market packs, so farm AD for it doesn't really seems possible.
7. How long does it realistically take to get 53 power points from overflow? Are there any rates or pure RNG? It felt really discouraging when I got only few rare enchantments (which I don't need at all) and nothing else from two overflows so far...
8. I need vacuum cleaner bad, it hurts my fingers running in circles, mashing F key all the time, I can't believe there's no auto-pickup in this game... Is there really no auto-pickup?!
9. Minor one - can I somehow change idle pose of the character? In select screen his pose is fine, but in-game he looks like a dork, any way to do this?

Mounts:
Do you intend to make more than one character?
As the ZEN market mounts are account wide (meaning the more toons you have the cheaper the mount gets) it might be wise to save up 1.5kk AD (15% bonus) and buy an account wide unlock for each and every toon you ever make.
Gold:
You will need gold in the future to shuffle enchantments around. If you feel you have an excess of gold you can buy a map-in-a-bottle in the SOMI area for gold and sell it for 6k AD on the AH.
Enchantments:
Make sure your enchantments are not bound before you refine them. It's fine to feed bound ones into unbound ones, but if you refine into a bound one it does stay bound. Consider buying R8 from the AH, it's usually cheaper than the ressources you need to make one yourself.
Artifacts:
depends on your setup, the first artifact from the level 20 quest can be used as most other artifacts.
The Globe of the Third Eye from Sybella is terrible, can only be leveled to purple and can not be used as a feeder. No one warns you about that. Thanks for the warning, Cryptic!
I suggest you only level artifacts to level 60 for the time being, you might want to use them as feeders soon anyway.
Companions:
you might catch companions from the end of this thread:

Bank slots:
as I play more than one toon I never expanded the personal bank space, only the shared bank space. If you only plan to play one character go for all you can get on the personal bank. It's 38 ZEN/inventory slot compared to 44Z/Slot for the runic bag.
If you plan more than 2 characters the shared bank space is cheaper.
Guild--And the Imaginary Friends
Yeah, I'm already leveling Leadership, lvl 7 or smth, doesn't seem to go anywhere useful besides occasional small Rough Astrals income. Thanks tho, will keep at, see where it goes.
@nameexpired
If you mean AD-Zen exchange, yes I did. Rates are horrible, though pretty much expected.
I wanted to play second character tops, but I don't think I'll be done with first one in a year considering how much content is there, so there won't be time to invest I guess. Know about account bound mounts from Zen, but still feels like prices are little over the roof. So general question stays: is it worth to buy blue mount at all? Because I won't have enough AD for purple in a while.
I have around 200+ gold, swapping enchantments costs something like 1.25 and I do it rather frequently. Never bought potion, only few trauma kits, which are also thankfully dirty cheap. Thanks for the bottle tip, gonna look into it.
If by R8 you mean purple ones, then good to know.
My first arti was mobile merchant, still comes in handy, got also dwarf helm and class arti that's given at 70, so all that is useless feeder?
Planning one character, as I mentioned, but I don't think 16 bank slots will be some help. I'm more curious about what to do with all these stones I get (power, stability, etc)... can't even sell bound ones on AH and unbound I keep in mail or in second char stash for now.
P.S. No one seems to be looking into technical section, so I'll try my luck here:
How do you guys deal with brutal graphic glitches in this game?
Sorry for this off topic question but since I am an new user at the forums and it doesnt let me create topics...anyway I played this game last year and the levelling had an balanced experience with my control wizard...the monsters DID damage to my char(sometimes with two or more of those stronger mobs it go my HP bar to like HALF or or even less)...anyway I took a break for some months and just recently returned and it seems the monsters now are weaker, only the stronger mobs are able to even take away my HP and this time not so much as before....I am usually one level behind of the mobs and even then they are not like before when they did MORE damage to my char...did this Mod 11 made the levelling mobs weaker or the control wizard more durable or something like that?? I am level 43 at pirate´s skyhold by the way.
Anything below level 70 mobs they are easy. Once you are 70 and facing 70+ mobs at low item level=difficult solo.

No sigil can be used as a feeder. It says so in the description. That does not mean your RP fed into them was wasted. You can also use your spouses and/or your siblings accounts to store items there.
As for the multitude of stones ... the company tries to show you with their whip and a branding iron that you might want to buy 3 runic bags for 100 dollars. The game is free to play. No one mentioned a word about free storage. (I am not saying 3 runic bags is enough space!) I am not sure what you are talking about. There are glitches like flying capes and swords stuck through your back, but I would not call them brutal.
Funny I could have sworn when I levelled last year that the mobs were hitting harder...thats why i thought mod 11 made the enemies weaker or something like that...bosses still takes a good amount of my HP but the mobs unless its a group of a tougher ones doesnt deal too much damage to my CW
I guess I'll just save up for epic mount then. Not hurting for travel speed too much yet, still can live with it.
My second char would be sufficient dumpster for now, plus I can just do early quest line to get free bags for him, but they throw way too much character bound stuff at me, and that's the problem. Seems I'll have to to just keep this stuff in inventory... Still, it's better than in GW2 where I paid $60 for the game and had to buy banks space separately for cash, lol.
I get stuff like this:
http://www.arcgames.com/en/forums/neverwinter#/discussion/1229496/pc-graphical-glitches-issue
Floor textures clipping/disapper, effects downgrade, etc. Maybe there are some settings in graphics section that break or fix this stuff?
@niadan
Yeah, I'm checking guides and googling what I can, but asking what I haven't found anything useful on. Also I'm not sure there would be a guild who will keep me. I can vanish for an year, or don't play several months, etc...
Latest campaign I finished is Elemental Evil. Almost done with Sharandar and Maze Engine (time gates). Attempted Cloaked Ascendancy and Storm King's Thunder - impossible.
What campaigns would you suggest and where do I get a gear to be able to handle high level campaigns? I can't do any epics because only around ~1700 yet, standard dungeons or skirmishes don't give any decent loot.
Few more questions:
- Is it fine if I spend all my Seals on Rough Astrals? Because I don't see anything else there decent enough to buy.
- Will I lose all my motes if I discard seeds in Elemental Weapons quest?
- Is there no way to get another Retraining Token for Symbols of Sarvas?
- If no, is it worth it to spend Symbols on Mistral or maybe something else?
Mod 1 (Sharandar) and 6 (Elemental Evil) are lower than 70 as you have seen.
Mod 2 (Dread Ring) I believe is level 72, probably where you encountered those mobs.
Adventurer Seals spend on rank 5 enchants. Sell these or use as RP according to your needs.
Elemental Seals use to buy gear if it is an upgrade, otherwise buy rings to salvage. If you get Protector's Seals, so the same.
Easiest safest way to get decent armor is probably to grind Demonic HEs in Dread Ring (You can do other tougher zones at your own risk) to get as much Demonic Ichor as you can and buy Drowcraft. Stats may not be great but it is a start. You will also get the occasional ring to salvage. The +1/2 rings are salvage. Use Demonic Ichor to buy Drowcraft rings.
Run 2 dungeons daily - even Heroic ones as they yield the same AD - 2 skirmishes. Master of the Hunt is by far easiest though Dread Legion isn't bad. Kessels Retreat and Shores of Tuern are doable but running with PUGs at that level will often be unpleasant. 2x Dungeons and Skirmishes daily will give you a decent income plus salvage.
Also, consider doing the campaign tasks in Feywild and Tyranny of Dragons to make Fey Blessings and Dragon Hoard enchants. 1 of each is fine since they have daily caps. That will help you progress with your artifacts and gear.
Don't worry about the motes. Spend your time making AD instead of grinding pointless HEs and buy the set on the Auction House. Be sure to research what Offhand Bonus is right for you, since you can pick one thay has that and avoid worrying with the obnoxious unlock process.
You can get 1 free respec token PER CHARACTER with the Savros tokens but they are Bound to Account so you can share them among your characters.
If you wish. There are times you might want to purchase the gear available.
Yes. The seed stores the motes.
No. You can only get one of each item from Sybella.
Considering Tyranny, can I tackle it on my level? Haven't even started it yet.
You can get 1 cask each Server day (when dailies reset) but the exact way changes c. 6 hours later for some reason. Doing this, it is possible to farm most armor pieces in 10 days, not counting what you get from the content itself. Best pieces to start with are shirt, pants, rings, depending on your needs. Pants and shirt are tradable, so you can also get them on the AH. Prices fluctuate but usually no more than 8k. Rings have a few good choices depending on your class.
Tyranny can be started much earlier, though it gets rougher past level 60. If doing the common cause daily from PE, listen into the appropriate zone chat and group up for the lairs, especially Ghost Stories. They are all challenging to less geared players but GS is completely over the top. You can skip them but progress will be slower. You can also go to the Well of Dragons and take the Demon Hunting quest there. Be prepared for a rough ride but stick to instances where people are running the Demonics and you should be ok - just block or dodge anything red and be careful. Avoid the other quests there except Lay of the Land - you will get wrecked unless you group up. The lairs are even worse. Harper Boward in PE gives out the Daily quests there and is necessary to talk to to get to WoD.
Don't be afraid to group up and run the content if you struggle. You will make good progress doing Boward's quests and the Demonic HE quest in WoD.
TLDR: E for Epic or M for Master is the harder form.
If you want an Elemental Evil set, you can skip EDEMO as the only real reason to run it is the Twisted set, though there is some unique drop there I don't recall. NDEMO is PUGable but some runs can turn bad fast. Generally 1 or 2 geared DPS characters and some decent support - especially buffers - can carry the raid.
Is there a button or function to quickly switch skills in hotbar? I mean we have loads of skills to learn, and I'm sure most classes should have at least 2 skill sets when they go dungeon and casual PvE content. Is there really no such thing and I have to go in menu and manually swap each skills?
