Alchemy - Rank 9 Experimentation Bug

Rank 9 Experimentation no longer awarding Basic Alchemical Knowledge since the patch. Ran about 30 times to be sure; nothing is popping.

Note that without Basic Alchemical Knowledge, this skill can not be advanced beyond Level 9, effectively shutting down any new users of the skill.

I have a similar problem to this at Rank 11.

After completing Rank 7 Research the task remained in list, this was fine because i could still progress the other tasks and did up to Rank 11, however i mistakenly selected the Rank 7 task (which completed successfully) instead of the Rank 11 and now whenever I run Rank 11 Experimentation (over 50 times so far) I receive nothing but the base reward.

This has effectively stalled my alchemical advance and will have wasted countless hours of gaming if it isn't rectified.

Same issue for me as well, seems to be a lot of bugs with this game anymore. And no one seems to care to fix them!!!

I also have this issue with alchemy, the same problem as reported by dbiggy. Arc customer service gave me the finger. I suspect it had something to do with the double xp event, regardless this needs a fix devs. I'd rather have my progressions reset to zero than have a useless skill.

having same problem with rank 9, made over 70 attempts and no research gained. Also still have the rank 7 task showing unfinished.

Stuck at rank 11 must have done the task 100 or so times, been like this since August, and yet still can't progress it. Devs need to take a look into this.

I have been stalled at Alchemy rank 11 experimentation for well over 3 weeks now. I have over 200 of the primordial goo and ZERO Alchemical Knowledge to show for it. If there was a fix with today's patch, I haven't seen it. Been running the task every 10 minutes for 6 hours. PLEASE FIX THIS.

I've been stuck on rank ten for a good month and a half I'm relieved actually that others are having issues as well because I just thought I had really bad luck. I'll be making a ticket. At this point one of my other professions could have been maxed. Smh

Here's a tip for any player either starting Alchemy, or lower than Rank 8 in the profession.

If an Experimentation task lower than your current profession Level sticks in your tasks, AVOID IT.

I avoided this, (Rank 8 after I got to Level 9 for me), and got to rank 25. Making Elemental Aggregates and Unified Elements now!

A friend of mine had also been stalled around the same rank as I. He said after the latest patch/reset, he was able to move forward. I had given up since my last comment here in December, so took it on faith and tried again. Unfortunately, another week goes by with more of my time wasted. This is happening at rank 11 on my HR and Rank 10 on my CW.

Where's the fix, Arc???? And are you plannI got to reimburse me for the innumerable potions and supplies I have wasted over the course of several months...

So, a bit disappoint.

A few months ago, after making the same mistake mentioned earlier (lower ranked experiment after having already passed it), googl'd what might be the problem.

Between double xp and lower ranked experiments, Alchemy in particular is bugged because each of the appropriately-ranked experiments are supposed to give the exact amount of experience necessary to progress to the next rank, and are bugged to not do so if there's a single xp left over in the bar. After noting this, took a proper look at the higher-ranked tasks, and Rank 25 has "Learn Missing Recipes." orz

Pretty much gave up on fixing it for my main, figured "alright alts, it's up to you now." Then for some reason I found the arc forums, and yesterday saw something about someone's experience in double XP alchemy getting fixed after a bug report.

And then I found this thread, and now it seems like the one that got fixed was for PC. If a fix is too much to ask for (which it shouldn't be), would it be too much to, I don't know, stick a note to the Alchemy profession warning not to bother with lower ranked experiments once you pass a certain point?

I did get this fixed! I had to harass customer service about five times. This was about a month or 2 ago.
