Where can this be found? I've searched PE for that Vendor but can't seem to find him.

    Yea.. I've been searching for this too. Was supposed to be a companion or something. Can't find it anywhere.

    So I found the guy finally. He is near Seargent Knox, a bit more up. You get the companion if you deposit any amount of ZEN. But the companion is only for collection, not much use for him.

    Ah, right. I thought it said that he was gonna help with the 'winter event'. But it must have been the 'winter event collection', which is kinda the same, only a bit more narrow then what I must have misread it as.

    It gives 40% extra light of Simril.

    lol. Maybe they're being intentionally vague so that we don't catch them lying like with the last charge rewards.

    Don't even know if it's account wide or what. Such a lack of information. Trying to get people to spend money on the game, and can't even tell us exactly what we're getting.

    I honestly wouldn't bother if I'm forced to bind it to a single char which I wouldn't be able to decide anyway.

    Some details:
    - reward is account wide
    - it's at the regular reward vendor in town
    - the companion is a short, stout, brown haired female wearing a green outfit

    hey guys!

    When you go to Winter Festival with character who is first time here and speak with Mayor Vario Cepheid - guy who give you main quest here, then he give you welcome quest and 325 lights of simiril, with this charge promo companion quest display that you get 455 lights of simiril so a lot more than standard 325, but guess what, check your inventory and see how many lights of simiril you real got: 325! so companion is BUGGED! maybe increase from other sources but not from quests

    Fwiw: Three offensive rune slots + neck + 2x ring. Poor man's Fire Archon, but a good placeholder for ten bucks imho.

    Charge promo news item reads "Players who purchase $10 or more worth of Zen will get the SImril Helper companion."

    Can someone please confirm that if I buy €9.99 worth of Zen I will get the companion?

    I do know EUR9.99 is more than USD10, though not by much anymore. But wondering if this is taken into account on Arc as well.

    Same here. Got a prize of 7 lights for the Mayor, with the companion active and summoned, but in my currencies the number of lights only increased by 5. It is bugged.

    Thank you for the info, I went ahead and got the companion as well.

    One thing to note about it that I think has not been mentioned on this thread: it is a purple quality companion. Of course, the active bonus is useless after the Winter Festival so it may not stay in people's permanent setup.

    Heh, I didn't get the companion for the bonus at all. Just wanted a dorf to follow me around to get smushed by a golem or dragon.

    i saw some posts above, but just to be on the safe side...

    Is the companion unlock account wide or single character?

    We did discuss the location internally. I debated including a screenshot of the map of where the agent was located but settled on saying he was near Sgt. Knox. Apologies for the lack of clarity on this on my part.

    As for why there were no images of the companion itself when the blog post went up, it's because the playtest server that I use to take all the screenshots and other capture was down for a bit.

    For info on what the equivalent (real life or in-game) spent is in other currencies, it's always a good idea to check the EU blogs.

    Finally, are people still experiencing issues with the light of simril bonus?

    I just checked "Omens of the Stars" quest with different characters and with the companion right beside me, it shows 4 Lights of Simril in the reward summary, but it only delivers 2 Lights of Simril in the end.

    I haven't checked it with the fishing barrels, but i guess it's the same there too.

    Btw. any chance of adding some kind of "backup" bonus to that companion please?
    So that it will have some use beyond the Winter Festival.

    Yes, just did the daily celebration task and got only 5 lights instead of the promised 7 reward. I have used the companion every day to no gain.

    This cost real money to obtain and I would have thought that it would have been tested before being released.

    I did create a thread in the Forum Bug Reports section after using the companion for the first time, but that has received no answers.
    I would raise a bug report in game but no idea what category to put it under as there is not one for companions. I do not want this swept under the carpet as "oops, we'll fix it for next year". I paid this year and want the stated bonus applied this year before the event runs out preferably.

    Please fix this.

    Well, if they can't fix it within this Winter Festival, it would be nice, if they could attach another/better active bonus to the companion, when they come up with the bug fix for it in the future.

    Absolutely agree. I would like to request a sticky just so those affected have a central point to come back to for updates that is easy to find (perhaps also in News & Announcements section?) and also for Cryptic to update from. Communication is key and an acknowledge has been made that it is not a forgotten issue so that is great - just what was needed. Just visibility is my only concern.

    I think the Starlight Parcels issue is of greater impact and affects many more players, so it is totally understandable that issue is granted the dev time and resources to fix first. No brainer as far as I'm concerned. And the dev guys are doing a terrific job on that - kudos for their efforts.
