Alchemy Help?

Not sure if this is a bug or I've missed something out?

Currently levelling up Alchemy, up to level 15 which requires Tidespan Potion/ Potion of Healing & Aqua Regia.

However it hasn't given me the option to create Tidespan Potions (which I believe should have unlocked at level 8), I can only create lesser & minor Tidespan.

Any ideas anyone???

    Check the auction house for the Tidespan potions and you can buy any variation of a healing potion from any potion vendor in P.E.

    You will have this, or similar problem if you used the 2X professions event to get even one level, worse if you gained more levels. When you do the research tasks you learn new potions. With the extra Alchemical Knowledge from the event, you can level up without learning all the potions. There is a task later on to correct this and allow you to learn all unknown potions, but for now you will need to gather or buy any missing potions that you did not learn recipe for.

    Tidespan potions drop on the ground depending on the level of potion you need and it is way faster to buy a few off the AH, they don't cost much and you only need a few. Or look in your guild bank, sometimes people stock these up at lower levels and forget about them.

    Thanks for all the responses guys, I'd brought some Tidespan potions to get around it just wondered what the issue was. Thanks for the input zephyriah

    I am having a similar problem I am at rank 11. I somehow did the lvl 7 research and it gave me XP towards the next level. Now that I have XP I no longer gain Basic Alchemical Knowledge. It is extremely frustrating as I now cannot level and cannot eventually craft elemental aggregate and unified elements required to get Elemental gear. what makes it more frustrating is the stupid Basic Alchemical Knowledge are character bound so I have no chance of ever leveling it again.
