I'm almost embarrassed to ask this but I've been unable to find the answer

How do I invite someone to a group from the chat window? Obviously I know how when they are right in front me

    press your back button, then move to their name.

    Prior to this update- selecting to invite the player to a group from the chat window brings up the notification "You must be in a group to invite [players]"
    No idea if this is still the outcome currently. I just select a random friend or guild member to a group and tell them not to accept whenever I get online to work around the issue. If there's a way to start a group in another way, I'm not aware of it.

    Gotta be someasier way..I get invited all the time from chat. I go over to the chat box and select something like reply to message but there's no option for invites

    You must hit the back button to change windows. Once your highlighted in the chat text window just scroll over to the players gamertag. If it's giving you the ability to reply then you're still on the initial window pane.

    So in the simplest terms..hit back twice?

    I knew it was a noob ish thing
