No bonus damage. 60% just indicates the max you will need for all content
I checked out info on content and this is what I learned.
40% for all content that requires IL 1600 50% for all content that requires IL 2000 60% is needed for Tiamat only
Guild mate did some testing with this. He ran ELOL 3x with the same group. 40% RI gave him the best damage as he was able to increase his crit rate, 50% was better than 60% and 60% RI produced the lowest damage.
Epic Spider 40% and 60% almost produced identical damage and 50% produced the most.
So he keeps two gaunlets now and swaps between them based on content he is running.
null That's pretty misleading. Any gear change can adjust power, critical, recovery ect... and wasn't really what the OP was asking.
All things being equal shoot for 60% RI, then power or critical stacking. By end game with boons and gear getting 60% RI is easy (more so with bonding)

Close enough for a general guideline, but will be off in IWD and WoD, the dire polar bears in IWD, for one example, have 55 Resistance.
Like I stated, he ran two dungeons to test it out. No surprise that WoD and IWD both require higher RI. I noticed that on my DC and stopped playing both ATM until I can swap over a few enchantment pieces to get my RI up to about 45-50%.
