Looking for a healing build

linda#3381 linda Member Posts: 1 Arc User
Hello all. I'm playing on the PS4 version and I think we are on Mod 9. I'm looking to level a healer with some friends who will be providing the dps.

I already have a buff-debuff cleric and was interested in the pure healer paladin that I've heard provides obscene amounts of healing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sadly a PC player, but anything i know 'bout building a Healadin (which I posess naturally) is that You need to go in CON and WIS <- This one grants more healing. Tiamat arti set is Your duty. My build here (feats):
    http://nwcalc.com/index.html#/op?b=1oa5:k6rwk5:8dep:5tb7d,1uciuci:1000000:1000000:1zu5zz1&h=0&p=ood&o=0
but anything, focusing on "Light" will work. Key things -> Bond of Virtue, Tia set, perks "Divine Attutement (if can do 3/3, do it), "Dominating Presence", "Divine Wisdom." [heroic], [paragon] "Echoing heal" is a must-have. "Aura gifts" and "Deific Intervention" too. With this, should heal up to 300k per person.

Had been healed for 1,150,000 so everything is possible.

This is probably the best guide I found for a paladin.

@l3gityme, There is a Healadin build for dealing massive damage, and healing for 'addition', but I think that is rather for sightly experienced players, to reveal its full potential naturally. With that, I prefer (but I, not all the townsfolk of Sword Coast) focusing on full-heal build for healadins.

wasn't the DPS healadin build based off of the old mechanics of Prism and Burning Guidance procing together? if that is the case, that is an old build. burning guidance now has an internal cool down and prism can only effect up to 5 allies, and additionally does not proc from HoTs anymore (although apparently it does proc from insignia bonus HoTs). that greatly reduced the damage being produced by that combination.

    Ethereal Justice - OP Paladin

I'm new to the game, but not MMOs I tend to play healer or tank roles that can multitask. I just can't decide if I like the Debuff cleric or healing paladin more.

    Thanks for sharing @sulajpl
I wonder how this build works in pvp. I know that Healadin isn't popular for pvp, almost never seen one.
Someone mention full light build is the way to go for Healadin in pvp. I'm devoted path since the release of Paladin.
Curious to see how well full healing build for pvp.

My build is old, but it works. It also performs far better at healing than light does, due to the mechanics of prism.

Fab is absolutely right. The build is still viable and performs flawlessly, I run something very similar to the fabricants build with a few tweaks, low crit, Owlbear companion for active bonus and I run 48 to 50 million dmg in edemo and have seen 80 to 90 million in eToS. I started as a tank pally and switched after bubble nerf and healadin is much more fun to play, I don't think I will ever go back to tank. And survivability is never an issue. You almost have to try and die with a paladin, And yes I use prism fully feated.

i have some questions for you, because i have thought about doing a respec to devotion and playing around with it:

how much damage do you do vs a top tier SW or HR on a CN (mod 9)?
can you tank? and by that i mean grab/keep aggro, as well as when you were protection?
how important is AP gain vs. protection? does it take long to gain AP?

I'm in a rank 20 guild hall on Xbox and run with some of the best SW, CW, HR and Gwf in the game (on Xbox) PC is in a whole other league lol, and I consistently come in 3 on paingiver in CN and edemo, (in guild runs) pugs I am quite often 1 or 2 depending of course on the other players. No matter what set up you run you will never beat any BIS DPS class with any pally! LOL it's not intended but we can hold our own and shine in multiple roles, I can tank quite well and have no problem grabbing aggro with the dps and endless heals I'm constantly throwing out, and we can buff! Justice is the best path I only have two feats in light. My AP is full in seconds and resently replaced my Sigil of the Devoted with wheel of elements because the Sigil is just not needed, I do of course have burning set and snail, my recovery is at 8100 and I have 1100 ap gain and 1000 stamina, ap gain Is critical to have Perma SOF when tanking and endless divine judgement when I have a GF. Burning light and RA fills ap nicely. Rank 12 bondings and shadow demon companion. Most sw and HR in my guild are between 3800 and 4100 and I can't out dps them but I can definitely hold my own while healing like there's no Tomorrow and tanking quite well, as a healadin you definitely have to move a bit more but that is why stamina gain is so important for sanctuary. Healadin is definitely a jack of all trades class that fills the gaps when needed, even after the nerfs I still main my pally and I have 3600 il gf and 2900 high prophet DC and find the devotion pally the most fun to play.
