I've posted this on the general discussion already, but i'm 100% sure theres a bug of some sort, so I'm going to post it here with more detail, and my findings after i've tested it to further elaborate.
I recently was able to purchase my first Twisted weapon, and got the primary weapon for the guardian fighter. The Spathe. My guardian fighter is a DPS build (go ahead and look them up, they are HAMSTER). I solo a lot, sue me, I want DPS - so please, no one post about how "I'm not supposed to DPS i'm supposed to tank." I'll have my second GF tank, this one is DPS - so stick it. Anyways, before I bought the Twisted Spathe I was rocking the standard Elemental Fire Longsword and Shield. The set bonus gave my character +1,576 hp and +394 defense. NO DAMAGE BOOST whatsoever! The Elemental Fire Longsword itself compared to the Twisted Spathe caused me to lose about 550 something armor penetration. Dropping me down to around 21% resistance ignored. About 30 minutes later I unlocked a boon on one of the campaigns that gave me +400 to armor pen, and I also added one or two rank 7 or 8 dark enchantments into my augment companion. This bumped my resistance ignored not only past my previous 27% resistance ignored - but up to 29%! Higher than it normally was. With the Twisted Spathe I was getting more crit, power and damage than the previous weapon. It would seem that anyone going for DPS would gain a little bit more damage and utility out of having a more powerful DPS weapon, correct? Even without the set bonus for the Twisted set, I TECHNICALLY should still be doing more damage, even without the set bonus of the Elemental Fire set because it only gave +hp and +def per the tooltip. So the result? When I donned the Elemental Fire set, I was doing normally (after I hit into the fray), around 30-50k Lunging strikes, and my basic crushing wave attacks did around 17-23k a pop. Now? With the Twisted Spathe the lunging strike CRITICALS for 9k. My regular attacks do around 6k-9k a pop. This is completely absurd and pathetic. Regardless of what people think, I have a hard time believing that the Elemental Fire set (unless bugged so badly that we cannot see it) provided me with such amazing buffs to take my damage from that low to what it was. Is it the twisted weapon? Or is it the Elemental Fire set that is bugged? Who knows, I just want my damage back. I need to know what to do.
PS: I tested my damage with an ensorcelled longsword. It was on par with the Elemental Fire set, even WITHOUT the set bonus. So i'll let you guys sort out the rest.

In the previous thread I asked you about artifact power on your weapon. Go to weapon and scroll down to manage artifact power. Problem is you may not know what you had on your old weapon. The new one may have a useless boost on a move you do not use (maybe).
