I am REALLY regretting not taking Aurora's Whole Catalogue.

Everyone says not to to take it, it sucks, it's not worth it, stats suck, etc. so I passed on it and took the Lantern instead.

I've used it a grand total of like 3 times since I've gotten it, and I have to ride back to a campsite to empty my bags like every 30 minutes.

The Aurora's Whole Catalogue sucks both in terms of features and stat bonus.
I suggest to stop collecting trash items while you're levelling up: take only the item that are strictly needed to progress.

    :(

I tend to build my toons for all-around functionality, instead of all-out bloodletting.
    So, I chose the catalogue.
    I do NOT regret it!
Many times I get carried away going from battle to battle, and forget to go to town.
    So, my bags get filled.
Just *pop* up the merchant, and sell it all.
    No worries.

I think all the people saying it is a waste are just people that didn't get it themselves and are now kicking themselves....but are "too proud" to admit a mistake. (lol)
After all, you can always have other relics equippped, and just equip this when you need to use it.
Effectively giving you unlimited bag-space for the cost of one space.
And, there are always other offensive ways to "handle business".
But...there is only ONE portable merchant!

I'm sure that you will change your mind in the near future when you enter in the epic-dungeons-are-too-difficult mode and you will discover that the Aurora's Whole Catalogue is the worst choice you can do as it gives you nothing to help in combat. You solve a short-term logistic problem, but you still don't see the whole picture.
That's funny: I'm in front of Orcus and I summon....the merchant. Overall the stats suck as well.
As said by Sun Tzu, "“If you wait by the river long enough, the bodies of the players slotting Aurora's Whole Catalogue will float by.”

PS: I had that artifact long time ago to solve the same logistic problem when I was a newbie, so I'm in position to say that it sucks with no envy at all.

No, never. There are two portable merchants if you want it for gold only, but you've to invest to have it (VIP).

For the (short) time being, enjoy it.

I have two of them, one from a drop and the other picked. I picked the merchant simply because I already started with a level 96 dragon artifact and simply wanted a simpler way to sell my gear. I also like the fact at level 50 you can have both equipped for the stats. I keep the merchant as my main now and use it as I see fit. Also I'm leveling it up to add more movement to my character and boy do I notice the difference between my speed now vs. what it was at when I was level 1.

    You are right.
    I was wrong...I can admit it. :)
I completely for got about the VIP vendor.
And, I really should have remembered it, because I am at VIP7 right now, and really want 12.
    *facepalm*

Be aware that the VIP merchant sells items for professions, she doesn't sells potions and kits. If you want it to sell the trash items only, then that's perfect. Btw when you summon the VIP merchant, you will see the Aurora's Whole Catalogues symbol shining on the screen ;)

The artifact isn't all that bad, I remember using it in dungeons on PC when bags were full to sell items or just needed to buy some pots as well (for the random unprepared/forgetful adventurer). the DPS isn't bad or game changing but kinda cool that it has an ability to attack if enemies are close. Made for some unexpected pulls sometimes and gave us a scare or two worth equal amounts of laugh. Its a great support artifact, not to be used as a dps or stat filler though IMO. No one will be mad that it popped up and you'll find that players will always welcome a chance to clear bags and stock up.

It may serve a purpose if you put more weight in selling garbage items to clear bag space then being able to defeat bosses. Trust me, no one who's level 70 or over item level 2000 is regretting passing on the Catalogue. It's pretty much the worst of the three artifacts you choose from. Lantern and Waters are both better long term artifacts.

I agree, of the three it would be third choice, I never got it until 4th alt maybe. Still a fun artifact to use though.

ditto and it was expensive to correct the problem and buy the lantern later on. you made the right choice getting the lantern. you might not see it now but you will later and you WILL be thankful.
