Hunter Ranger Piercing Damage(Melee-Comabat)

Now that theres coming a balance in HR, i would like to know, whats was the point of Piercing Blade Feat? it's says it gives you 40% addiitional Piercing damage, but since the day i make my combat HR 2 year ago, i didn't know what was the point of make it piercing, because it's calculated in the final chain of maths. I make testing today in preview server, you know, to see if anything have changed for the balancing.


As you can see, my rapid strike deal 1148, after all the chain of damage resistences, i end up dealing 182 damage, and if you multipy 182 * 0,4 the result it's 72,8, which it's the actual Piercing Blade damage as you can see above, whats the difference between this "piercing" damage and a buff of 40% damage? that this will proc double more defense ticks on your enemy, like negation enchant, It makes more sense if at least you calculated in base damage of powers, even flat damage would do the work.
Also we know that wilds medicine have nerfed to the uselessness, i would be happy if they at least remove the half effectiveness penalty for pvp, i mean it's halved for pvp and it's halved again by healing depression on domination, also you'll never get this feat working on 100% because it's hard to get the full 10 stacks of it, unless your enemy is berzerking you and you have 100% deflection chance.
Im really sad, because melee HR was my perfect class of any mmorpg i have played, because it was the least used class and tree and i was able to compete with other players like this, and since mod 4, i was not competitive anymore in pvp, i mean, i was dealing 3k damage per encounter while CWs deal me back 10k with each encounter and those encounter reload very fast compared to an Archery or Combat, and not even can't touch a Trapper HR, some classes at least have a counter to this, but nothing you can do as a Combat or Archery.

    Combat build is pretty much useless in both PvE and PvP after piercing blade nerf. It's a 40% dmg boost now and the only thing mildly useful is the life steal it provides, which is also quite underwhelming when your damage is so sh*tty.

    Trapper is much better in terms of damage, lower CD (practically 0 CD) and CC.

    But HR is getting a lot of new changes in mod 10 so we'll see.

    Yes, thats why i make this thread, because i was testing in PreviewServer, and no changes for combat hr, i was hoping some staff read this, and maybe consider the loveless combat tree of hr before new mod comes.
