Looks like Neverwinter/Cryptic will have a presence at this. Any speculation on what this new story line might be and how it might tie in to Neverwinter?
devs need to put "Halaster's labyrinth" puzzle maze. we dont know how big and how many hidden portals placed across faerun's sword coast citiess underground networks.
When i have first seen "The maze engine" as a tittle i was thinking omg a random instance creator (e.g. each time you join you get a random generated map) instead it was kill demons 30 days in a row
so i would not hope too much on this either.... maybe fancy artefact with on use themed to the event.

Cryptic did make some vocalizations around creating actual re-playable content (as opposed to content you can play over and over - don't recall the terminology they used off the top of my head).
I'm wondering when they'll actually deliver on any of that. Actual random instances - as opposed to being randomly placed into one of a few non-random instances - would allow content to be truly re-playable. As it is now, what they really did is create a couple versions of the same content, pretended that was something different than they usually do, and made noise like it was something awesome and new.
One of these days, they'll start innovating again. Maybe once the current crop of management shoves off and they get some folks in that actually enjoy innovation....
Anyway, on the topic at hand... Hard to say - probably won't have much to actually do with Neverwinter. I hope those comedians rip into Rob for caring so little about his customers. Probably Cryptic is there because WotC is hoping to promote the game, but the content is likely unrelated to Neverwinter itself other than that the last few modules have been directly tied to WotC modules, so..... in that way, it's likely to be related since WotC was directly involved in the game being broadcast.
Having random instances would increase load times. This was/is prevalent with Foundry quests, especially ones with large or heavily detailed areas. It's a trade off that the Foundry community accepted because generally more detailed maps meant the author put more time and effort into creating the quest, most of the time. That sentiment may not carry over to the general populace.

Well, there was that tidbit from a Drow at some Dwarven ceremony after defeating some Demon Lord about a character with a somewhat infernal lineage...

Pure -> Transcendent Plague Fire weapon enchantment giving 80damge/20 seconds for 500k+ AD is a joke.
